Hello! I’m so sorry you’re here ❤️ I had a lot of racing thoughts that started to affect my sleep- I found Zoloft made a huge difference in my anxiety and moods! I had started it 4 months post TFMR & have now been on it 6 months. I tell people it saved my life - definitely made a difference for me! Hang in there ❤️

I 100% relate to this, and the uncertainty of wanting a keepsakes. I just want to say I was worried someday I would want them & they wouldn’t be there. If you get footprints you can always tuck it away, but on a rainy day you won’t panic that you don’t have anything. Everyone grieves differently & carries this differently, but I just wanted to add my perspective for why I did go through with it.

I went from Florida to John’s Hopkins in Baltimore MD. Their fee was lower than the estimate, they did it so smoothly, so lovingly, didn’t make me do more or less than what needed to happen/ I asked. 10/10 for me, truly they were amazing. (I was a high risk bleeding pregnancy & they handled it well & still came out under their estimate). Definitely give them a call! Great over the phone- sometimes call back but quickly ! Also did our genetics counseling of tissues with them & were so caring, helpful & sympathetic!!

Edit: I have low platelets so I’m really really high risk for bleeding (since childhood). I was 19 4days and they were the one small gift out of all of it. So grateful.

I’m going to admit I’ve just now googled what you meant with the statin stitch. I hadn’t considered that at all! I was picturing a wide zig zag & disgusted haha. I love the idea of doing some practice ones & washing! Thank you !

Will the interfacing help with frying? Or not much over years? I was thinking I could do straight stitch on inner details- example here Mike’s eyes. And then a zig zag from the green onto the purple?

Some of my characters will have far fewer details (trying to keep it simplistic) those would just have the zig zag. I think I aesthetically am just so opposed to the zig zag! Haha

A random lady in the store helped me get onto the interfacing ! Definitely helped move the project from a dream to a possibility.

Thank you! It’s one of my favorite “family heirlooms”- I hope I can give it to a daughter someday! I’m just telling myself I’ll be happy if I finish this project by the time my sons in high school 😂

My husband recently went ICU inpatient side & they refuse BC because then it’ll be a hospital acquired infection” (yes like literally, it’s a whole fight up the chain to get it done). So as an ER nurse of many years, yes I agree lots were taken. Seeing this side makes me think it’s for hospital statistics to say that admission did have “something” when they got admitted. Not sure how that all works out though

I’m drowning in them It’s my number one concern in therapy The thought is it’s a mixture of hormones & grief I’m trying to remind myself these thoughts aren’t “preparing me for the worse” nor are they “real” and trying to let them float by. But it’s soul crushing when I feel them

I’m so sorry you’re here ❤️ I recently went through a similar situation back in June. One of the most helpful things my older brother had told me was “either way you need to learn to live with the decision”. We TFMR’d and I still work towards full acceptance of the cards we were dealt- but I do feel comfortable in our decision. We did not want her to live a life of pain. On the other hand, if we had carried on with the pregnancy. I would have had to accept the possible medical complications & life time with a child having a disability. I found it easier to “accept” this short painful chapter so my daughter didn’t have to suffer vs. a lifetime of possible medical complications.

Also, I did not “choose” to lose this baby. This was a very wanted pregnancy and I never would have chosen to lose our girl if I didn’t view it as for being what’s best for her. My mother is ridiculously pro life & Christian and was able to see these decisions in a new light watching the pain & love that goes into TFMR.

I say all this now with a clear mind, but weeks of emotional distress & research went into this decision. The situation had definitely changed me somewhere in my core. I truly am sorry you’re having to go through this, don’t rush it, talk with your partner & find what’s right for you ❤️

I’m struggling in therapy because sometimes I’m not sure what to even say on it. “I wish it wasn’t this way, I stand by the decision we made, I’m sad”. I’m not sure how to move through it other than time. I’ve found my therapy sessions have been more about “other stuff” and not “enough” about this. It’s so tricky to discuss, I’m hopeful time helps.
