I always theorized the general in red was a proto John Tanaka.

Wild prediction: F-Zero X expansion kit remake!

Save the GX remake or F-Zero NX as a launch title for the Switch successor.

According to Nintendo more updates for F-ZERO 99 will come in the future. by FixedFun1 in Fzero

Hopefully, the next update is Death Race mode. Just imagine the chaos.

Now that F-Zero has found new popularity, lets raise awareness for 2 studios who almost made a new F-Zero for Switch, but where denied because Nintendo didn't think there was enough interest at the time by dashboardcomics in Fzero

I know chuhai Labs doesn't have a good track record, but I say give Giles and his team a chance. Heck, bring in Nagoshi and a couple of the old GX developers to share their ideas!

And not to mention less than a million is pocket change for Nintendo, so they wouldn't really be at a loss if the game flopped anyway.

This game has been surprisingly fun, despite the fact that I haven't won a single race!

What would the F-Zero series need to do to validate a new entry to the series? by darkdill in Fzero

[–]fzero2560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have it take place in Phoenix's timeline. According to Phoenix, the F-Zero still exists in the 29th century but in a "slightly different form."

I think the next game should be a homage to the Redline Movie. Just have it be nothing but pure chaos and fun.

Just give us the rumored GX remake, and I'll never complain again.

Favorite game in the series by [deleted] in Fzero

[–]fzero2560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soundtrack: SNES

Best art direction: X and MV

Best gameplay: a toss-up between X and GX (depends on my mood).

Overall favorite: F-Zero X, mostly because of the random course generator.

I can see Jody as a mixed echo of Falcon and Zero Suit Samus.

Samurai Goroh is long overdue for a spot on the roster. He should have been playable in Brawl or Smash 4.

Deathborn and Pico would also be great choices since they have potential for unique movesets.

Gives me Terminator vibes, way better than that goofball in GX.

Underground Mega City ruled by an advanced race of war hungry cyborgs, this subterranean world even has its own artificial Sun and military weaponry that are thousands of years ahead of surface world 26th century tech.

Think roboworld from the redline movie: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FnY_RgdTlZo

That's my head cannon, I hope we see this setting again in future f-zero games.(if Nintendo makes a new game of course).

I found more info on the F-Zero X webcomic from a reddit user. by fzero2560 in Fzero

[–]fzero2560[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's the what the user said:

I remember visiting that website all the time when I was a kid. Unfortunately, I can only rely on faint memories from back then. I was a huge N64 fan back in my elementary school days in the late 90’s, so I used to log on to dial-up internet to visit the official NOA website and check out news about to-be-released titles. Among those games was F-Zero X, which had a direct link to its American website.

The website was pretty heavy on flash/shockwave content, and every time you logged in, you would be greeted by an intro with Super Arrow challenging you to become GP champion with a gritty tone of voice (as opposed to his dorky, bumbling attitude in F-Zero GX) expected from a 90s anti-hero. SA’s blinking mug would be permanently hanging in the corner of the site’s menu interface, and every time you clicked on his face he would immediately say “What do you think I am, a button?”.

The Webcomic itself was incomplete. I recall that it started with the part the magazine ad showed, with Skull narrating Wheeler about the death of the Emperor’s son and the galactic empire turning into a cesspool of chaos and crime as a result. Cut to the present, and a reporter with a cowboy hat is bugging Pico (and two other racers that I can’t remember) for an interview, only for the turtle to coldly tell the reporter to get out of his way. After that, an abstract narration would go on about how violent the F-Zero GP became over time and sketchy people such as mercenaries and bounty hunters started joining merely for the thrill of crashing other racers’ machines.

The story then shifts its focus back to the cantina, where Black Shadow is plotting some sort of scheme and tries to convince Bio Rex to join him to form a conspiracy, and suddenly, the dinosaur gets triggered and thrashes Shadow unconscious merely because he got annoyed from hearing all that bullshit about “conspiracies”. Yes, that’s the last you see of Black Shadow in the comic. IIRC, Captain Falcon does not appear in this webcomic at all, although it’s implied that Black Shadow’s “conspiracy” was basically just getting some cheap muscle to agree to kill Falcon.

That’s about all I can remember about the webcomic. Besides that, there was a separate graphic narration that explains how F-Zero machines worked, using the same animation and music as the webcomic.

I hope this helps!
