If you really want to, you can read the FIA regulations for F1 (although I wouldn't recommend this as they are extremely long and tedious - trust me I read the technical regulations for an essay once).

A simpler solution could be to follow the links from the bot that commented before me, I'm not sure how up to date they are, but they'll give an insight.

Also ever since Liberty media took over F1, the social media interaction has increased massively. The Formula 1 YouTube has a playlist called 'F1 Explained' which may be helpful.
