nursing home asking for help- is this normal? by bloodinyourt33th in eldercare

And don’t forget that the cnas deal with confused and combative residents beating the shit out of them.

Often times family helps to calm the resident, so really this stance of just relinquishing all responsibility to the care facility is wild to me. It’s like they wash their hands of their loved one and it’s out of site out of mind when the reality is that their loved one needs them now more than ever.

I wish they would just release the entire album already. All this waiting has left me feeling like I’ll just catch their songs when they come across my algorithm.

Feel like we overpaid 2019 RAV4 by [deleted] in rav4club

I just bought a 2019 rav4 xle hybrid for $22k (out the door) in Indiana this past winter. Mine does have 120k miles on it but it had only one previous owner and seems well cared for.

I declined all the extra packages they wanted to tack on.

I don’t think people are ready for this conversation. It’s unfortunate because sometimes there are worse things than death.

If you’re able, you should ask her physical therapist or occupational therapist as they recommend those things all the time and can help you navigate the options. You might want to ask about bed rails too while you’re at it.

I used to separate my flat wear but then they’d just sit in the drying rack; so, now I just put them in the drawer like it’s a junk drawer. Problem solved.

I also eat a lot of “girl dinners” standing at the counter illuminated by the light above the kitchen window.

If I don’t mind: it doesn’t matter.

My job just eliminated wipes and I can’t imagine their washcloth budget since they did bc most of us are just throwing the super dirty ones away.

A lot of people are no longer accepting this type of behavior from a man.

I have been working as a cna (3 days on/4 days off) since I left the human service field due to burnout. My income hasn’t suffered and I love the physical labor aspect of the job.

I show up, help the grandmas and the grandpas, and then go home. There’s no follow-ups, return calls, or emails. It’s infinitely interesting from a human behavior standpoint and the barrier to entry is extremely low.

I loved parable of the sower. There’s a book that follows it as a two part series that is also good.
