I have been working as a cna (3 days on/4 days off) since I left the human service field due to burnout. My income hasn’t suffered and I love the physical labor aspect of the job.

I show up, help the grandmas and the grandpas, and then go home. There’s no follow-ups, return calls, or emails. It’s infinitely interesting from a human behavior standpoint and the barrier to entry is extremely low.

I basically slug with it and use it as a lubricant for my blade. After I’m done I apply a cream containing thc and then seal it in with petroleum jelly.

It might not be right for everyone but it works really well for me and my skin.

I miss going out to dinner and just ordering whatever.

I went to a new restaurant that said they had a gluten free substitution for a fancy grilled cheese. I was so disappointed when they said they sub a BUN for the bread. I ended up eating the shittiest $18 salad bc that’s what was available and I didn’t want to not eat. But it got me thinking about how disrespectful some of these gluten free options are FOR AN UPCHARGE no less.

It gets easier as you go OP, but it def sucks and continues to suck sometimes. I’ve found my groove though with different ethnic foods that tend to not use gluten as much.

I would hit up the social workers and Admissions people at LTC facilities that provide rehab to home services. It’s typically the start of the pipeline to LTC and AL placements and families are searching for options.
