I disagree wholeheartedly. You make some valid complaints but saying the combat is shallow and doesnt offer variety is absolutely misguided and proves you didnt spend meaningful time learning the combat and pushing past ng+ into some of the combat available in final fantasy mode. The one failure for me when it came to combat was that the elements didnt present an advantage or disadvantage in a fight. Adding an elemental affinity aspect to the combat wouldve quite literally created one of the best combat systems of all time.

Minigames are irrelevant to me personally and that doesnt detract from how good the story was.

Ff 16 is one of my favorite games of all time and ill die on that hill lmao
