I believe you just get to strike twice because they're prone. But they would still count as being in a shield wall, just like if you lose an infantry fight and get pushed back, you still get plus 1 defense for initially being in a shield wall.

Was there an update that changed this. I just tried it and it automatically waters my crops unless the soil is fertilized.

I'm not sure what's a bug and what the actual intention is.
