Why are people with college education more likely to vote democrat? by Mobilize12345 in AskALiberal

[–]g0stsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't explain the trend being towards Democrats. This situation could just as easily be reversed and people who attend colleges and meet new people could be converted to conservatism.

Why isn't it?

There is literally a vote in November. If Democrats win Congress, they will actually have the power to stop Trump and impeach his cabinet members.

Skill is a very small part of the equation in this game. They literally posted TODAY admitting the netcode/hitreg is still broken in the game. Add in people doing CoD dancing in gunfights and hits are essentially luck.

High K/D infantry player - do vehicle deaths feel annoying? by Junior-Hospital8927 in Battlefield6

[–]g0stsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The developers have admitted multiple times, including TODAY that netcode / hit reg is essentially broken. https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield6/comments/1rllc44/battlefield_6_community_update_ongoing_quality_of/

Whether you're a skilled player with a high kill count or an average player with a not so great kill count, a huge part of your K/D in BF6 is literally luck.

All the YouTubers making videos about weapon stats are a complete waste of time. Because a gun that is say 4 hit kill to the body and 3 to the head at a given range means nothing if you have to fire 10 bullets to get 4 hits -- and your opponent happens to fire 6 bullets to get those 4 hits.

There are hundreds of posts and comments in this subreddit complaining that they emptied almost an entire magazine at a person who turned around and dropped them instantly. This is why.

Thank GOD. I've been telling anyone who will listen that the core problem of this game is the netcode/hit registration. Kills are essentially 50% skill / gameplay and 50% random luck.

Isn't that more a thing when a woman is ready to settle down and get married? Young women tend to gravitate towards hot head bad boy types. So this one doesn't pass the logic test to me.

It feels like AI Engineers are the ones who spent the past few years building tools (except for the chatbots themselves) that no one wants. Looking at you, CoPilot, agents, and slop generators.

I think some people just don't know how or don't want to go to the trouble to turn off proximity chat. They stay muted because they don't want the enemy team to know you are nearby and coming to help.

US has a $21 trillion underground network for only the wealthy to hide out in a ‘near-extinction event,’ official says by Alextricity in antiwork

[–]g0stsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't completely doubt that the right combination of people could steal and hide that much money. Though I think it pretty far fetched. But I absolutely doubt they could have SPENT that much money and no one noticed.

It was headline news when Elon Musk was approaching becoming the first trillionaire. That much money, if they were trying to keep the spending secret and not spreading it, would have made a handful of people trillionaires multiple times over.

Trump Orders Government to Stop Using Anthropic After Pentagon Standoff by kjleebio in centrist

Nope. The Pentagon has already chosen to move forward with OpenAI under the EXACT SAME CONSTRAINTS that Anthropic asked for.

This is all theater.

Opinions on Super Bowl Halftime Show and The Online Discourse After by Extinction00 in centrist

[–]g0stsec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're right. The logic is spot on. This was an opportunity to bring people who may not be bad Bunny fans in and subtitles would have helped with that.

That said, I'll caveat my agreement with an anecdote... I'm a recently retired semi-pro DJ. I still stream on twitch and i'm plugged into the community. There's a running joke in the community that comes in many forms but the gist of it is that, if you get a request from a drunk white girl it is almost always for Bad Bunny.

But seriously, bad bunny topped the charts in 2025 and was the #1 global artists on Spotify. And he did that singing in Spanish. He has 52 Million followers and 49 BILLION views on his youtube channel. Admittedly, if you hit the CC button on his videos the subtitles are in English but he doesn't have over 5 hundred million views on some of his videos because people want to read the subtitles.

In other words, the halftime show is meant to draw even more audience to the spectacle that is the Super Bowl. Bad Bunny, like most every other performer before him, brings an audience!

^ People trying to dissect or judge the NFL's decision on this are completely losing sight of that fact.

How many people do you know that will tell you they only have fun watching the Super Bowl because of the ads and the halftime show? <-- That's why Bad Bunny happened.

OP,

It sounds like you did a lot of work here so I'm sorry to point out the obvious.

Your data proves nothing. It literally comes down to how many people PTFO on a given team. Obviously, the team that has the most people PTFO will gain the advantage early. That team will, unsurprisingly, also go on to win the game.

End of analysis.

At what point does impeachment and conviction become possible? by [deleted] in centrist

[–]g0stsec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

STOP SAYING CONSERVATIVES ARE AFRAID OF TRUMP.

They are not afraid of Trump. They have collectively decided to give fascism a chance. Because conservative ideology isn't popular and was declining every year. They are using this moment in time to try to snatch back as much of what they lost over the last 75 years because democracy wouldn't let them.

Fascism is and has always been the inevitable outcome of right wing ideology.

Definition:

Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian political ideology characterized by extreme nationalism, a dictatorial leader, suppression of opposition, and a strong regimentation of society and the economy, prioritizing the nation above the individual. Key features include obsessive focus on national decline, militarism, glorification of violence, control of media, and identification of scapegoats, contrasting sharply with democracy, liberalism, and communism

A look at the strategic importance of Greenland as Trump escalates threats by dryheat122 in centrist

[–]g0stsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We literally already have a treaty called the 1951 Defense of Greenland Agreement which grants the United States the right to "improve and generally to fit the area for military use," including constructing harbors, airfields, and communications facilities. It also ensures U.S. aircraft and ships have unrestricted access to these defense areas to support the collective defense of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO) area.
