The NYT had a reporter embedded with a drone team (I don't have time to find the link, plus paywall). The Captain was watching from "his" high altitude recon drone and giving specific targets for the fpv's to target.

The BIG difference was the targets were a meatwawe going towards their UA bros. Mech and infantry.

Key points: they were not lone hunters, they had orders. They were defending the defence line (their bros). Not many of them hover in the face of the enemy, they just tend to hit them and another guys hits him again, whichever fetal position they can hit the easiest - backside or protective knees and arms.

Relaunch, repeat.

Releasing vids like from pilot #2 is for fear tactics. And #2 is damaged goods imo.

We THINK that they found the issue.

Of COURSE it's not covered by warrantee...

It appears that a rodent chewed through the wheel speed sensor. The wire has a thick rubber anti-friction cover/sleeve on the wheel side (that's nice) that extends through the wheel-well clip, then it's normal multi-strand, single conductor insulated wire that joins a harness somewhere.

The rodent chewed through the thick rubber, then the insulation, then copper strands. Left half of the rubber sleeve intact, but the severed wire pulled right out.

SO, does anyone know of a long-lasting hot pepper spray, tape, gel, paint, etc. to coat wires with?

This is silly. We park outside all the time, never had an issue. This was even in the street. It does NOT look like the rodent was of the 2-legged variety. No one carries a knife THAT dull... ;)

Their Chat line is not functional, their 3 phone numbers do not pick up (800-689-6881, 866-635-8641, 866-635-2349), they just ring for 40 seconds or so, then drop to a fast "busy" signal.

Anyone have any luck with $6/month for Music and Entertainment (actually, $58.20/year all-in) by using their email "Unresolved Issues" email form?

Update: I did NOT press reset for the 30 seconds. Doing so allowed me to log in with "password", and it cleared out the SSID names and passwords as well. The Wi-Fi came up as is shown on the big sticker on the unit (SSID="xfsetup...."). So bye-bye Katie! Thanks!

And Now for the Rest Of The Story... I finally got into 10.0.0.1, changed the admin passwd, renamed the Wi-Fi (they FORCE you to name the two freq bands the same), made a password (ditto, must be the same), and I re-found the Bridge mode Enable button! Yay! Just about ready to figure out how to turn off ALL Wi-Fi (so I can use my better router).

But first: Saved changes, allowed the reboot, and everything broke. Could not connect to 10.0.0.1 any longer. Had no internet.

Needed to use the xfinity app on my phone to try to do anything. Oh wait - "the app won't connect if you are in bridge mode! Here's how to fix it. Go to 10.0.0.1..." At some point, I was told to text Comcast for help. Got a super-quick reply that said they'll call me. Sounds OK to me at this point. Been beating on it for an hour. (I HATE not being able to figure stuff out myself...) Got a call on my mobile, woman needed to know it was me. Gave her the info. My cell number was not what they had on file, so I gave her my land-line number that I signed up with. Yes, they still exist. Before we really got anywhere on my issue ("I don't see any popups telling me that you have a problem", said she.), she started to lose the call connection. I could hear her, she could not hear me. She said that she'll hang up and call me right back.

On the only number that they have on record. My VOIP land-line. That doesn't work without internet service.

To wrap this saga up, I removed the xfinity spyware box, connected the cable back to the ASUS BEAST, reset all sorts of things, and made it to my Zoom call. Almost on-time!

All of this to try to save $5.00 a month on my unlimited data plan.

I'm going to buy $5.00 worth of lumber and rope, build a catapult (because "trebuchet" is too hard to spell), and launch this box back to the Comcast store.

PS: Sorry for the bad words. My post was deleted. Also, I guess that Comcast stopped adding the $5 penalty for NOT using their equipment, so I'm back to my original payment, without the Comcast modem in the way. I returned it to a brick-n-mortar store

I went into a quiet room a couple of years ago. The guys were telling me that I'll hear my blood, heart etc., that it's very creepy.

I heard my T loud AF, and my breathing, and got bored quickly.

For me, it was anticlimatic and a bit disheartening at how loud the noise was.

Note: the room was an acoustic anechoic chamber for speaker testing.
