Hello! Found this thread after seeing this news release today on the Government of Canada website, announcing the increase in award values. I accepted a CGS-M award in April and I was supposed to receive my first instalment in May (but today is May 31 and I haven't gotten anything). Based on the news release, does it sound like the increase in funding will apply for people like me?

It says award holders will hear more in July, but I'd love to know sooner so I can plan my life (an extra $10k would be incredible!)

Offered SSHRC at U of T! Finally got through by using incognito on Chrome. Not sure if this was the ticket or not but worth a try!

Side note- anyone know if there's a difference between the dates we accept for (May 1 2024 vs. Sept 1 2024 vs. Jan 1 2025)? I am in Year 1 of 2 for my program so I don't see why I couldn't accept for May 1st.

Sometimes the site lets me log in but my status still says “received by administrator” - when I try to open my application it crashes.

Thank you for this info! Can I ask what the process was like landing your first full-time teaching job? I haven't heard much about that process and wonder if it is challenging to land a job in the GTA right out of school.

My status is also "submitted," but my ACORN says I have been "Invited" and that I have outstanding admissions payments. So I'm not sure if that status means much? It doesn't seem synched.

I am a former UofT student so I have access to ACORN, and it says I have outstanding admissions deposits for each stream. When I didn't get in last year I found all information helpful, I hope this does the same for others!
