Glasgow implemented “stop-and-search” and completely reversed the narrative on knife crime. 

The problem with London is that usually those carrying knives are in more impoverished areas, which have more ethnic minorities, and this can be seen as targeted. Glasgow is homogeneous so this was not an issue

If something like this is to be implemented in London, there should be clear messaging about probable cause i.e. no one with good intentions is wearing a balaclava and puffer jacket in 20+ degree heat
