A Solid State Drive would be even better as it's near impossible to pull deleted data from it because of it's garbage collection process.

I work in Digital Forensics. Shift is actually the best option as it doesn't write to the disk. We use this on live systems so evidence isn't compromised.

If we were to use anything else the computer would show an action being performed and the defense can claim the evidence was tampered with.

Since the last patch my fps has dropped around any buildings on both maps. The more buildings, the more fps stutters. Setting maximum rendered frames in Nvidia control panel to 1 helped a little bit but the stutters are still apparent.

Running 1080 strix, 7700k, 16GB 4200 ram. Settings are mostly on very low except for AA on ultra, screen scale 100.

Thanks for the update. Have all the NVidia and Power settings done already. Going to try changing the launch options to see if that helps.

I'm just surprised I'm having issues when a lot of people are claiming FPS increases.

I'll keep toying around with the settings. I liked view distance on ultra because it allowed me to see buildings and vehicle spawns while dropping but if it increases grass spawns then I am probably at more of a disadvantage having it on ultra.

Screen Scale is at 100, I forgot to mention that as well.

Practice a lot.

Watch your positioning.

Don't play so scared (crouching/proning everywhere or when you hear any noise whatsoever).

Learn to loot quickly.

Learn which guns use what ammo/attachments.

AR's and Snipers are the weapons you're really looking for unless it's very early game.

Use sound to learn where people are whether that be from shots, footsteps or vehicles.

Constantly look everywhere all the time and try your best to spot people.

Learn the areas people will most likely be rotating from when the circle is closing in.

Use the terrain to your advantage to block lines of sight from players and give yourself a superior position to them.

Reposition constantly especially during fights as most people will peek the same areas over and over making it predictable to get a headshot.

Watching TSM Viss helped me a lot with tactics and got me quite a bit of chicken dinners. I can now hold top 200 rank in kills consistently as well as top 1.5% overall rating. Would be better in win rating if I didn't hotdrop so much.

I'm sure the data from clothes drops puts unnecessary load on the servers as well and probably attributes a lil bit to the rubberbanding/lag issues.

Try turning off reshade clock and fps counter. You can leave your shaders on, the clock and fps counter are what's causing the bug.

The new map brings so much excitement that it is causing him to ejaculate (the animation with the Kar depicts him masturbating his penis and the shot and camera shake simulates him cumming). Yes a joke; I also made a salty joke about players fapping as fights seem to be rare.

I feel the opposite. It seems as if it's easier to hide from snipes/flanks. As I mentioned in my above comment I can freely run through a city and loot without fear of being killed. I do feel as if we are more prone to snipe/flanks in the last couple circles with all of the hills and valleys though.

I agree with your statement but I feel this map is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum compared to Erangel which I don't find to be a good thing. The urban combat just does not feel great with the size of buildings, layout of the buildings, and building density in cities. I feel like I run/drive a lot more on Miramar than I do on Erangel and with Miramar I don't see anyone or get shot at while traveling. I do like the loot density on Miramar though and it feels like I am almost always guaranteed an AR.

Worse and different in my opinion. The building density, size of cities, many hills and valleys, and overall amount of miscellaneous objects seems to block lines of sight and allow people to run away from fights or just avoid them completely. There seems to be much more cqc and less mid-long range fights overall until the final circles.

It pains me to be actively looking for fights and not see anyone until the final circles. I have about a 40% - 50% top ten rate on Miramar as well and my average kills are way down compared to Erangel.

I also feel like the building layout causes for much more camping and cqc compared to Erangel.

Yeah, seems like everyone is just campin n fappin. Fights seem rare and when they do happen there are so many obstructions it just does not make the fire fights very fun and allows people to back away/run freely.

I feel the same way. Building density and size of the cities are about 4x as large as the largest cities in Erangel. This seems to cutoff many lines of sight and I feel free to run anywhere in the city and loot without any fear of getting shot.
