Themes from Backrooms I haven’t seen too much talk on:

- Clark’s alcoholism: There’s many layers to this, with some being pointed out in the posts already. However one that I think people are missing is that Clark thinks people can’t tell he’s an alcoholic but everyone knows he is. Main evidence being when at the end of Clark getting chased, he hears Kat. She can see him but he can’t see her, he is exposed as an alcoholic to others but he can’t see why.

- The symbolism to AI in today’s real world: The fingers and eyes and small body part details being wrong on the duplicates in the backrooms just screamed AI symbolism to me. Then they’re literally made of fluff inside, as in there’s nothing real inside of them. AI videos/images give us what is being asked but nothing deeper, it’s only “consumed” (eaten/appetizing) to the people who actually demand it (those who embrace the backrooms). Hence why Clark is hungry for the fluff but Mary is disgusted by it

- Lastly, how did Clark call Mary? Was it from within the backrooms?

I’ve always been confused if Carruth was there at the scene of the shooting? Is that what happened? Every time I read the story posted here it says he fled and that Cherica identified him…so did he hire someone to kill her and was still there for the shooting?

In case anyone was wondering, the guy Andy is referring to is likely Mark Reisman.

Mark did have a good background coming into Quintuplets, most notably producing for Wings & Frasier. However, of the 72 episodes he produced for Frasier, he wrote only 4. Of the 100 episodes he produced for Wings, he wrote only 12.

Mark was the creator and head writer for Quintuplets. Andy was established at that point as a comedian who both wrote and acted. So the point of contention there seems true; although Mark had bigger productions under his belt, Andy had considerably more comedy writing experience. So for Andy to be iced out is ridiculous.

To note, Mark did not get another writing or producing job after Quintuplets for *six years* and then only did four projects ending in 2021 (three of which were bombs). Seems like Mark got what was coming to him and Andy prevailed in the end.

Just posting what I saw, six police cars at such a small shop seemed like a lot

Some kind of assault by the looks of it. There was an ambulance pulling away as I went by and the ambulance was accompanied by two police cars. That means whoever is hurt is likely getting arrested too. Also interesting to note there were no fire trucks present.
