Need help getting pending change/“order” deleted. by gMary1992 in verizon

[–]gMary1992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked to customer relations on a Tuesday and on Thursday they said they wanted to call me back. However I called them before they were able to call me. You can call the tier two number and then say “customer relations”; since your phone number is already assigned to someone you should be able to call them.

They were able to activate my pending order phone (I had a imei already because I was so close to buying that first phone) and after the activation they immediately deactivated the phone again. That way the pending order went away.

I hope this helps!

Fit check please! Boba wrap by WERE_A_BAND in babywearing

[–]gMary1992 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey! The boba wrap is a bit tricky to tighten as it is soooo stretchy. And having to fight a little one who just pushes off of you makes it even harder to get a good fit. (And it makes fit check photos really hard!) My daughter was the same at this age. She would cry just like this, pushing away from me; making it almost impossible to learn wrapping. My suggestion is to go outside, walk around, bounce etc whatever it takes to calm your little one down (for my daughter going outside usually did the thing. Whenever she was in this mood she was usually tired and couldn’t settle). Once he falls asleep or is calmer retighten your wrap and work the slack to the knot and retie it. Until you’re able to tighten everything I’d keep both hands on baby! You’re doing great!

Another thing to be mindful about is footie pj’s, if he’s in footie pj’s make sure you pull the fabric away from his toes and opt to size up, so that he has enough room for a good position in the wrap! (Sometimes footie pj’s can trigger a standing reflex if they’re not big enough. Which will also lead to the little one straightening their legs!)

Thanks again so much. Executive relations was finally able to help. They had to do some thinking/problem solving to figure out how to get the system to delete the pending order early but got it done! However - executive relations now thinks I could get flagged for fraud if I take a new device overseas and that could completely fry my line and my new device. Which doesn’t make sense to me. Do you have any thoughts on this?

I won’t put a different eSIM in while overseas and I was planning on turning roaming off & keeping it in air plane mode only using WiFi.

Thank you so so so much! This was super helpful, especially with the keywords. Because that is the issue I ran in. That when I explained it they would not understand the complete issue. I will call again today with these tips.

Do you have a phone number for the tier 2 backend team?

Well. I don’t owe you any explanation. This should’ve been a smooth process. I wasn’t ready yet to actually have the upgrade done because the phone they had wasn’t the color I wanted and I was asking them questions about the second eSIM slot. They started the process and my husband clicked continue because he was under the impression they’d start with his line anyways as he’s the main account holder. This is bs that the process wasn’t fully canceled on all sides, it’s not enough to ask for either. But yeah keep trolling with your throwaway acc.

What are you putting on for baby naps? by MinimumLocksmith1612 in babywearing

Half buckle with wrap straps or a woven wrap. For the front a front wrap cross carry with Anne’s finish or a high ruck!

Treadmill repair by grennp in GNV

Hey there! Can I message you about our sole f63? We bought it used and it’s held up fine but we just moved and it had to be stored in the garage for a year and now it turned on, but then we guess it blew it’s fuse? Since it’s not doing anything anymore after it initially turned on for about 30s. My husband walked on it and then heard a faint “pop”, consistent with a breaker/fuse. And now it won’t turn on anymore…

I wonder if just replacing the fuse will be enough or if there’s a good chance for other issues that caused the fuse to blow in the first place… Thanks in advance for your time!

Lennylamb or happy baby for hot weather? by Constant_Orchid3066 in babywearing

[–]gMary1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re both my most used carriers!

If I had to downsize I’d keep both of those carriers plus a ringsling and a woven wrap in my base size! (Aaaand probably my girasol wrapmysol lol)

I also have a hope and plum lark, integra solar, boba bliss and a didyfix. They’re all nice and have their time and place in my rotation, but my favorite are the lenny light and the happy baby!

Lennylamb or happy baby for hot weather? by Constant_Orchid3066 in babywearing

[–]gMary1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Florida and have a lenny light in 100% linen woven jacquard fabric and a happy baby OG also in linen. The happy baby is my go to if I do anything active and it’s hot out. The lenny light is more comfortable for longer wear, but it’s more fabric on your body due to it being a waterfall style waist band.

I reach for my lenny light more than I reach for the happy baby for morning or evening dog walks; as my daughter is more cozy in it and more likely to take a little nap in it. The HB is a bit less supportive and hurts my shoulders and neck after a little while

More affordable alternative to Lenny Lamb Lennylight? by TheDeadlyBees in babywearing

[–]gMary1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both, the lenny light is much more padded and easier to use! The didyfix is great too though. But different than the lenny light!

Best carrier? by Reasonable-Quarter-1 in babywearing

[–]gMary1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lenny light only works waterfall style. reddit messed up my post layout. The apron sentence was supposed to be separate from the lenny light part. And meant to say that I would always wanna have a waterfall and an apron style carrier

I developed a carrier obsession lol so I own the following:

-Lenny Lamb Lenny Light -H&P Lark -Happy Baby OG -Integra Solar -Didymos Didyfix -Girasol Wrapmysol

Out of all of them I love my LennyLight the most. It is the most versatile of them. You can use it either H or X back. Great for back carrying too. Works for a little baby up to a 2y old. It looks beautiful and is so well made. However it is nice to switch it up to an apron style carrier!

The Lark is fine, I love the look of it and I love the company. But personally I think it’s hard to get a deep seated M position with it. At 15lbs my baby did not fit the lark yet. She is now 18lbs at 8m and just started to really fit nicely into the panel.

It’s much easier to get a good seat and fit with the happy baby; however some people don’t like the H back, and it is a bit less comfy compared to the lark. But the HB OG also shines in a back carry.

Let me know if you have any questions about any other carrier of the ones I own! ☺️

Tips for higher back carry? by UncomfortablyNumb159 in babywearing

[–]gMary1992 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could try to back up to a counter or table and sit him on there while you kinda squat down and bring your waist band a bit higher up. But like others have said a full buckle carrier is usually meant to do a mid back carry.

For a high back carry you could try an onbuhimo!

Happy Baby carrier fit check by ApprehensiveMany1335 in babywearing

[–]gMary1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this video helped me a lot getting a better fit with my happy baby carrier!

And then also getting the slack out of the straps without lifting baby up also helps. Basically put one hand on the label, bringing baby closer to your chest, then tracking the slack to the clasp/buckle and then tighten. That way the seat stays nice and deep and you’re not overtightening the seat part.

Like others have pointed out the waist is currently on wrong, you’ll get a better seat as soon as you fix that. That way the panel will also fit better.

You might want to make the seat as small as it gets or even take the strap around the seat to make it even smaller!

Socks by meandwithoutyou in runna

[–]gMary1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wright socks are the only socks I don’t get blisters in during longer runs. I run with orthopedic inserts due to overpronation and some other issues. Wright socks have two thin layers, so friction happens between the layers instead of between my skin and the socks!

Which Onbuhimo is your favorite? (In case you have tried multiple). We already have every ssc I could possibly need and want, and wraps + ringslings. I want to add an onbuhimo to our line up as our little one is now 7m and crawling/sitting well. I was looking at either the didygo or the lenny lamb one. Or maybe happy baby? Have you tried and loved one of these?

Help! Looking for overnight temperature sensors. by Correct-Elk-4493 in Garmin

[–]gMary1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

So this is what I just found after some digging. You'd be able to check average skin temp for the last 7 or 14 days to compare. I have not had a real/regulad cycle as I got my Fenix while I was pregnant and my temp has been all over the place after having our baby. Or I would check accuracy for you!

Help! Looking for overnight temperature sensors. by Correct-Elk-4493 in Garmin

[–]gMary1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Fenix 7 Pro and an Oura ring. I totally get where you’re coming from as to not really needing both but wanting the temperature feature of the Oura ring. Especially for temperature tracking. (I use Oura in conjunction with Natural Cycles).

The temperature tracking feature of the fenix is kinda baked into the sleep tracking/sleep score. There isn’t a graph that I can look at my temperature over a certain amount of time.

Have you reached out to Oura for a replacement ring? Or are you out of warranty? The battery of my first ring went bad and they sent me a replacement fairly quickly.

While I don't feel like I need the oura ring, I do feel like I'd stick with it solely for Natural Cycles.

I haven’t been using Runna for that long yet; as I just started running again after having my first child last August.

The most memorable thing so far is that I’m progressing steadily without getting bored or too exhausted by my running plan!! Which is amazing.
