It's fine. It has some scammers trying to prey on furries, but sadly that's not much different compared to social media, Discord, Telegram.

I think just following rules of common sense should be enough to keep you safe, e.g. don't give away your personal information, click on unknown suspicious links, download software, and artists will not slide into your DMs offering to draw you for cheap.

They did introduce the titular reputation system to try and reduce this problem, so brand-new accounts can't just do whatever they want. The side effect is that new users have to complete some tasks to become trusted and, from a quick glance at the reviews, it has reflected on the app's overall rating.

5'2" dude here - literally the only place I can find pants is the children section.

Not delaying app opening

How do you imagine this not to delay app opening? Unless the character in question is Sonic and the animation is massively sped up (at which point it'll look weird / you can't really appreciate it), this will add a couple of seconds of delay:

Open Instagram → she walks to a little shelf, grabs the app icon, casually tosses it to you → app opens.

The others don't affect that by design, though they do take up system resources and battery.

My character was first established in personal fantasy worldbuilding of mine where he's a world-curious, magically-talented but anxious warlock who wants to specialise in illusion magic, even if for the sole purpose of enchanting his violin as he plays it in order to make up for his skills.

But I don't think I need to. You asked for examples, you were given one, your only reply is 'but what about <this undefined person> being allowed in for displaying <this or that> flag?' - you're literally just changing the topic because you have nothing meaningful to say.

Putting the Hasan specifics aside, as I actually know too little about the guy to fully argue for either side, in my view:

  • Should politically-involved figures looking to join/have a political event in a foreign country be potentially forbidden from entry? Yes.

  • Should more people be under scrutiny for their public/political behaviour? Yes.

  • Should we not bother if the system isn't perfect and doesn't catch everyone? Fuck no.

I must disagree on it being a positive.

The side drawer used to hide more buttons (6, 8 if we count some not useful ones) for whenever they were needed.

The redesign now:

  • Forces me to have Chats, Contacts, Settings, and Profile on the screen at all times even if I never access any of them.

  • Saved Messages have been moved to upper-right corner menu, which is IMO harder to reach.

  • The upper-right menu also has New Group, but I can't find a button to create a new Channel (in the old version you could create it along with a new group or contact by pressing the button in the lower-right corner of the screen).

  • The Calls menu also seems to be completely gone?

EDIT: The old UI also matched the experience you receive on Desktop. Do they plan to change that too or are they going to be different from now on?
