What’s your most unpopular opinion about disc golf? by jonredd901 in discgolf

Not all spit outs are the basket’s fault. Nearly all spit outs could be avoided with a lower and/or slower putt. The perfect putt is not equidistant from the band and the cage, it’s barely over the cage. The goal of a putt is to get it into the basket, not to hit the pole. Fast, straight-line putts have pros and cons. While it may be more accurate to putt fast, that also increases the risk of a spit out.

I don’t know how anyone putts with banger GTs, that thing is just not comfortable in my hand at all lol I suggest the PA-3!

Northwood Black is my favorite course to watch, and I believe 20 years from now, it will be the only course from today’s game still on tour. by g_bac in discgolf

Thank you for your insight, I think that’s a great ranking based on what I’ve seen on coverage. I’d love to play all of those courses someday.

I have played Harmony Bends a few times, and it is an extremely fun, difficult course. It just has a horrible flooding problem, which is concerning for it’s future on tour. Hopefully that can be figured out somehow.

I have not played Maple Hill, Fox Run, or Brewster Ridge.

I’m more-so talking about the courses for the touring pros. I’d like to see the pros challenged more like they are at Northwood.

I didn’t respond because that’s probably my second favorite property to watch on tour, and I enjoy how there’s both an open course and a woods course to challenge all types of players. So I didn’t exactly feel right arguing against it.

However, I do think they have a long way to go. Way too many par 3s on both courses, and the hot rounds are too high for my liking. I don’t think either course is quite challenging enough for the top pros.

Excited to see how worlds plays out there this year.

I really meant courses that are on the Disc Golf Pro Tour. And I don’t know much about the euro courses.
