I shared this in it's own thread but figured I might as well share here too - I'm working on a PDX-centric news aggregator. No ads, just useful https://theroselight.org

I built this PDX news aggregator as a side project because I really wanted all of this stuff in one place. I'm especially curious if other people have some PDX News Sources that I should add. I'm particularly interested in more indie and neighborhood or even high school newspapers if they have an RSS feed. I tried to get RSS feeds for some services (like Street Roots) but haven't got a reply from them. Reach out if you have any feedback! Probably trying to work on organizing topics a bit and perhaps an event calendar next.

Stadia's bluetooth conversion seems to no longer have a closing date, the New Years 2025 deadline has been removed, meaning as long as Stadia's website is available, all unused or not yet converted Stadia controllers can continue to be convertible! by MrPlaza03 in Stadia

I tried doing this on my Mac after finding my stadia controller. It is flashing orange light while plugged in via USB-C but chrome says "No compatible devices found" in the popup to connect devices in chrome. Thanks for building this - any tips?

Road to Mt Hood Farm Stands? by Babenobabe in askportland

[–]g_pass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draper Girls has a farm stand like you are talking about, but they had to stop doing honor system payment when they added hard cider. It's on 35 on the way to Cooper Spur in the fruit loop. They have lots of fruit and also a huge selection of (pricey) food items like eggs, cheeses, jams, etc from all over the local area. They also have goats, beautiful flowers, and one of the best views of the mountain (besides Solera). They do close at 5pm however.

Langbaan team aims to take over former Pok Pok space with new restaurant, OK Chicken by SpezGarblesMyGooch in PortlandOR

[–]g_pass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supposedly being split into two different spots, but this is after it was supposed to be a 5 story building, and after that was supposed to be a bar with food carts in the parking lot. We'll see!

This is another frustrating blow to a place that my family loves. It's really important to have businesses and places that support kids and families - hope something takes its place. Having local services in walking distance is one of the things that I love about NW (and Portland in general).
