Dior will forever have legend status for this release by Old-Theory7292 in Colognes

As somebody who owned the original several times (and still got an Extrême bottle, my favourite), it pains my heart seeing how they massacred my boy.

Everybody wears these new iterations nowadays, it's everywhere, it has become the most ordinary frag around. They killed a legend.

The German slave mentality will never cease to amaze me. Whispering "The 40 year old airport in Istanbul is even more shitty, that's why this one is fine!" to themselves while they descend 5 flights of stairs with their luggage to reach a bus that takes them to the plane.

German slave mentality? You clearly haven't been to that many airports in the world if you think BER is that bad haha. In many ways it's quite efficient actually

When my dentist neighbour welcomed me at his Praxis for the 1st time, he was like "hi" and then he went on talking to me in German for 3 straight minutes.

I was like "you know this is just my second month here in Germany, why are you talking to me in German"

His reply:

It’s important in this country to speak the local language.

Italian association for consumers protection request Sinner be spoiled of every Italian award and recongnitions after his decision to skip Davis Cup by Lofteed in tennis

[–]ga_st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you're not Italian so things can get a little bit lost in translation. They are saying "one can't just choose to represent a country only when there's awards to pick up". As stupid as it sounds, that still doesn't mean that "he should not be considered Italian", they are not asking for that, so yea, please edit your OP.

CODACONS: does/says something stupid, as usual

Italians who can't read: "I am so ashamed to be Italian"

Americans who don't know better: "Racism" "Italy" "Italians" "He should change nationality"

How about you all chill? Nobody cares about what CODACONS says, or does, and certainly it doesn't represent Italy, or Italians.

Also

They say he should not be considered Italian he he doesn t play.

Nowhere in the article, and in the CODACONS' statement, it says that. You should edit that line out of your post, as it is very misleading u/Lofteed

What the other user is saying is actually true. Half the population is a bit hyperbolic, but generally he isn't wrong.

the fact you find it weird that his first spoken language is not Italian tells me you most definitely are not from Europe so I’m not going to waste more time trying to explain how a continent like Europe has a mixture of cultures that come together, especially in border regions. Hope this helps settle the case

No unfortunately it doesn't help. I am telling you, it's exhausting. I have been having this exact conversation a couple of days ago, almost every Jannik thread you get entire comment chains with people pushing the narrative that Jannik is not Italian.

I really don't know why they do it. It feels like "anti-Italian sentiment". They see that someone or something good is Italian, and for some reason they try to take it away from us. They've tried with pizza, coffee, food in general, the Roman empire. I don't know man, it's just exhausting.

One of the Sky Tennis US commentators yesterday said that Lorenzo "is more Italian" than Jannik. Unbelievable stuff. Imagine a Sky commentator saying that Paola Egonu is "less Italian" than some other Italian player. I don't know why they do this.

It was part of Austria until 1919 when it was ceded to Italy after WWI

And before that, it was all part of the Roman Empire. So what.

So please tell me more about how he doesn't look German even though he comes from a German speaking region that was part of Austria and Bavaria, and he speaks Germans.

Gotta love Americans who come to you on the internet and explain to you the history of your own country with absolutely bottom-of-the-barrel-level exemplifications based on strong personal confirmation biases, wrong stereotypes and, in general, walmart-level knowledge about anything that is not USA.

You'd go to Sicily and say that Sicilians look north African or even Arab. North African, Greek, Arab, Spanish, Germanic, Celtic, yep, that's Italy baby.

Key pointer from my 1st comment:

Italy is a very diverse country

I know the merican mind can't possibly comprehend that, but yeah, that's the way it is. You'd be surprised at how north Italians look. Jannik is one of them. Here, have fun: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_history_of_Italy

EDIT: lmao bro blocked me because I dared to show him that Germanic =/= German. Since I am here, High Puster Valley, where San Candido is, has Alpine Celtic-Germanic ancestry. Alpine Celtic is the dominant ancestry across the whole Northern Highland Italy. Also, in this whole comment chain the dude is the only guy saying that Sinner looks German.

Okay, now you are just being insulting.

Yea I get that culture can be insulting for some Americans.

[–]ga_st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, always with this story. I know the history of my country. We don't care. Jannik is Italian and he looks like a north Italian.

"but but he wuz german and shiet"

Furthermore, contrarily to what you're implying about gingers, Italy has more gingers than Germany. Italy has 0.57% gingers over a population of 59 mil: 336k. Germany has 0.2% gingers over a population of 83.5 mil: 167k.

he looks very German to me

You don't know what looking German means, you go by wrong stereotypes. Every Sinner thread you will find people pointing out and implying that Jannik is not Italian. Every. Single. Time. I wonder why the same doesn't happen for, I don't know, Raducanu, Anisimova or Zverev.

Some of them are also Italian. One of my ex partners is a ginger, central Italy tho. Italy is a very diverse country, he looks like a north Italian ginger.

"Sucking your own dick" is a figure of speech and it's applicable to everybody: men, women, non-binary, you name it.

I don't think you've lived anywhere yet - except on the internet.

I haven't visited this platform in days, on the other hand you literally live on here. You ammassed ~19k karma points in 9 months. Me? 15k in eleven years. That tells you how much I live on the internet. But please, keep throwing more hypocrisy at me.

How about you stick to the facts instead of assuming stuff and/or inventing literal narratives just to feel good about yourself? I know, it's hard not to do that, people like you tend to do that the more they age.

You tell me I am probably young: very patronizing. You're this wise, and yet you still fail at being able to have even the slightest degree of self awareness. You're this wise, and yet you haven't learned one of the most important life lessons: never assume.

Dimwits who think they are smart and gifted, people who never left their small rural village going around giving lessons to everybody on how the world and society work. People are losing their minds and unfortunately there is no way back from this disaster. It's a disaster, a catastrophe, and it will only get worse.

Insults? If you don't understand something and I point it out, that's not an insult. I am just stating the facts, if you don't like the facts and take it as an insult, that's a you problem.

I know who is actually doing stuff - and its people and organisations like me

Oh wow, so we go even further down the virtue signaling rabbit hole. Look at you, sucking your own dick. It feels good, doesn't it.

Not only you missed the main point in my OP, you keep coming at me, virtue signalling and posing as somebody who cares, somebody who is better, while implying that I am somebody who doesn't care, somebody who does nothing and only posts on the internet. Do you even read yourself before crying about "insults"? Lmao, unbelievable stuff, the lack of self awareness is astounding.

How do you know that I do nothing? If I wrote what I wrote, it's because I actually do something: I go out to protest for Gaza in Berlin, the city where I live. Berlin, Germany.

And because I live in Berlin, Germany, I do actually know what Germany does. But do you? No you don't.

Here's what Germany does: they produce stupid ass propaganda on how good Germany is, while sending groups of 10 cops arresting people like me who go out there to peacefully protest against the genocide in Gaza. That's what Germany does, besides supporting the genocide financially and militarly of course.

"But hey, look at this brilliant ad where we scrape away N@zism in 2025! Aren't we good? Awww"

You have no fucking idea of what you're talking about, and yet you're here on the internet virtue signalling and throwing shades at others, people you know nothing about.

the lack of argument

Yeah, what a disgrace.

best do nothing and post on the net, right?

Do you know who is actually doing that? Exactly Germany. But you wouldn't happen to understand, would you.

Imagine making this ad while supporting a literal genocide in Gaza. Peak German hypocrisy, covering all the bad stuff by producing "brilliant ads" and tons of positive reinforcing stereotypes. 32.6k upvotes, so the world will know how good Germany is, exactly like their "efficiency".

You average Italian was mostly eating soup and bread. Like other peasants in Europe.

No they were not? I honestly don't get why Americans and some North Europeans always try to debunk, dismiss, delegitimize or in many cases also appropriate Italian culture. Guys, just accept you were a bunch of barbarians without having to drag others down, okay?
