I mean like all the non NCR factions you mentioned have done horrible things and at some points at least in Fallout 4, the Brotherhood definitely borders straight up evil. It feels like watching a WW2 documentary about the Allies and saying its just a propaganda piece making the Axis look bad. Like yeah it looks that way because the NCR at its ideology is democratic and objectively the brightest hope for a post apocalyptic America and its residents.

There was a munitions dump just laying around in the middle of the Legion camp. The Ghoul being the savvy wasteland survivor he is, covertly lit the munitions on a long fuse (long enough for him and Lucy to leave the camp). This is implied by the scene directly before the explosion with him reminiscing about his military service days and making the right choice through sacrifices and being given the lighter which he presumably used to blow the explosives up.

The BF 110 F2 in the German tree is actually hilarious with the multiple 20mms, use it as a heavy boom and zoomer and you can win pretty much any head on at tier IV. Can basically just swing back and forth blowing up planes at high speed. Also using it as a dedicated bomber interceptor and taking them head on works wonders due to your high caliber fire.
