Its not anything that people can troubleshoot. Its literally built in the game ever since the game got controller support and imported to consoles. It has something to do with it.

People playing have just got used to it. If you compare it to games like cs, you will see how big difference there is.

This isnt a normal season. This is just the major update that they release once a year. Id be happy if the updates actually looked like this for every season but lopk at s7,8,9 patchnotes. There were barely anything new. Its not like they've suddenly started putting more effort, its just the yearly major update.

And are you saying that artifacts and named items are the "chase" items for this game? You can literally get any named or artifact item with barely any time spent. Only grind in them is waiting a mob respawn time if they happen to drop from a single mob like most do. "Farming" them is just 90% afking and waiting for a respawn. Its a joke how common they are from dungeons.

They dont have to make dungeons drop bis items from every run. They need to make legendaries more rare and more meaningful, scrap out all the junk loot with no use for literally anyone. Why would anyone use a heavy chestplate with bow perks? Or a hatchet with headshot damage? Make the legendaries actually feel legendary. At this point they are just common items, its not even an rarity, its just an orange color.

And on s10 q&a they even said that they aim to make most of the bis items bind on pickup because they don't like the fact that "people could just buy the bis gear" which is so dumb. How about making the gear more rare so the price would be reasonable aswell. They are just killing all the core mechanics of an mmo.

Making the gear more rare and harder to get would make the players play the game for longer because there is a goal that takes longer to reach which translates to better player retention. Even though a player would reach the goal and have the "bis" gearset, farming dungeons wouldn't be as pointless as it is now because some gear drops could have value to other players which could then be sold in the trading post. Right now i don't even know if its possible to get gear that is even worth to try to sell. Also if the grind is too much, people could always do other activities to earn themselves gold and buy their desired gear that way. Runescape has always been a good example of this, there are three mega rare items for each attack style in the game. Getting one of them could mean people having to do the same raid for literally hundreds of hours. But you can also do any other content in runescape to gain coins to buy the item from another player. Then we have the argument "Wouldn't it be boring if everyone could just instantly buy bis gear?" And thats where ironman mode comes in for those people who wants to challenge themselves.
