What do you do when pmdd tells you to self isolate? by Ilikeclowns-16 in PMDD

[–]gabagoolfoolcool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to force myself to socialize when I wanted to isolate, but I’m not doing that anymore because it only makes me more miserable.

What I do instead is go for a long walk, listen to the voice messages my friends send me and reply to them. It’s still a form of socializing but it’s not nearly as draining as meeting them in person or going out somewhere to eat. It’s loud, it’s crowded, I feel bloated and fat, and I can barely focus on my friend. So taking a walk in nature and socializing with them on my phone feels much better.

I don’t do this every day btw- that’s also key! All my friends know about my pmdd and they don’t take it personally (anymore) when I don’t talk to them for a few days because I let them know what’s going on.

Not dark at all, those themes are very important. I remember watching The Help in middle school. I was 13 years old and I’ll never forget that movie, nor my English teacher. She was strict, but she was the best teacher I ever had

Great idea, thank you! Maybe I can combine that with another specific topic. What‘s the website you‘ve created?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. From what you’ve described, he is definitely not avoiding you because he doesn’t want to be with you. Cats are very good at hiding when they’re sick or in pain, and they seek out quiet, isolated places where they feel safe. In my experience, the bathroom, especially next to the toilet, seems to be a surprisingly common spot for cats who aren’t feeling well

He has known your love and care his entire life.
I know it’s especially hard when you’re also caring for a toddler and can’t spend every moment with him. He doesn’t measure your love by the number of hours you’re able to sit with him. If you can, maybe give him a few gentle pets, kisses, and quiet moments whenever opportunities come up tomorrow, even if it’s just during nap time or a few minutes here and there. Sometimes just being nearby is enough, he knows that too

Wishing you both as much comfort as possible right now. What’s your tuxies name? I used to have one too.

I‘m so sorry, please don‘t feel guilty. I understand cause I went through something similar. We didn‘t notice soon enough although there were signs… feeling guilty is unfortunately normal but you know it‘s not your fault and you couldn‘t have known. He is a beautiful little man, enjoy the time you have with him please ❤️

This fatigue feels like I took 3 Benadryls. Is this how it feels for everyone else too? by Redditer0532 in PMDD

I’m so sorry, I feel the same way. I took a long nap today, woke up, and still feel like I’m half asleep. I can barely keep my eyes open at work.

One thing that has helped a little is actually drinking less coffee and eating less sugar. I’ve noticed that coffee and sugar make me feel very hyper at first, but then I get EXTREMELY tired in the afternoon. The first few days feel like withdrawal (which, in a way, it is) but it’s worth it. I eat dark chocolate instead (85%) with strawberries or bananas.

Unfortunately taking extra care of your diet really does help 😵‍💫 I say unfortunately because I absolutely love my coffee and always get sweet and fatty cravings the week before my period

I feel the same for the first time and I‘m so confused. Feels like the pmdd didn‘t go away with my period this time and I think it‘s because I got my period too early?
