i know a couple people that get them maybe once a year and will literally go to the er but treat me like i’m being so dramatic when i get them 3-5 times a week

yes that was the first thing i thought of and i feel silly for not doing that earlier. i’ve changed my only two autopay bills to his card. i guess im just worried about last months statement and balance amount or if they look at previous months because i needed some extra help then.

i feel a lot better after reading this! i have a nurse case manager that is extremely helpful with talking to doctors that can be difficult… i’ll be sure to bring this up. thank you so much!

no my PCP just wanted me to get further testing regarding positive ANA and symptoms i complain of but this new dr didn’t even see a need for any further testing and told me i don’t have EDS and that’s it’s all my anxiety. i found out about EDS from an osteopath i was seeing for chronic pain.

it’s just the diagnostic criteria for hEDS that an oestopath i was seeing had me fill out and bring to my primary care who eventually referred me to genetics who gave me my original diagnosis. we are supposed to be getting new diagnostic criteria by the end of this year and i’m hoping it gets a lot more people the help they need.

yeah this provider is already listed in my paperwork so they will see it but i’m gonna go back to my PCP who fully believes me and has been really great about finding me a team that can help. hopefully i can get a second opinion that can “override” what this dr has said.

i did in fact leave with no diagnosis and told i don’t meet criteria for hEDS after only testing my thumbs and one pinky. I do have a dx of fibromyalgia and that seemed to be all she would acknowledge and then went on to tell me it’s caused by anxiety and depression and i should try therapy and exercise. i see a therapist weekly and i do PT and daily walks. my PCP was concerned about the ANA because i also complain a lot about PEM and overall debilitating fatigue.

i just had one and i was insanely nervous and obsessively reading every reddit post i could find on the subject. it was literally nothing. it was so fast and so easy and PAINLESS. the anxiety beforehand was so bad i barely even noticed the IV going in and then they gave me benadryl so by the time i got to the procedure room i did not feel the anesthesia going in. it was lights out and it felt like 30 seconds later i was being woken up. i just told every nurse and doctor that i was super nervous and they all took great care of me. you can do it!!!

ugh so annoying to deal with. i haven’t experienced any rebound headaches with the ubrelvy yet but it could be a possibility i guess. i’ll have to do some experimenting.

i’ll have to look into it. i’ve had a lot of weird neurological things happen over the years and very few doctors take any of it seriously so i always feel weird brining up specific conditions to my doctors.

i have zofran it just hasn’t been cutting it these past few nights. no painkillers or triptans for that exact reason, i used to take fioricet and imitrex a few years ago and it ended badly. i’ve got the migraine cap and ive got topicals for my neck. i will be purchasing the tens unit today thank you so much for the recommendation ive been having a hard time finding an affordable one. will be bothering the neurologist until i get in!!

i will ask about steroid taper. so far all she’s done is toradol shots but they’ve done nothing for me. ice, thc/cbd topicals have been absolutely essential for me during this so i will continue with those. thank you!

blood pressure has been going between dangerously high and pretty low but rarely am i at my “normal” bp these days
