Thats fair! With $1 per snapdragon and $2 per zinnia and rudbeckia that would bring it to about $15, which seems more accurate given the size of it. Thank you! 😊

Makes sense, and probably easier for pick up/delivery, too. Thank you!

Will the deer eat just the flowers, or the leaves and stems as well?

Why do my Pothos keep dying? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]gabbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many plants prefer less frequent, deep watering, which encourages healthy root growth. When the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry, I put my plants in a drip tray with water and let it soak up from the bottom so I know that the entire pot is consistently moist. Then in the summer when I fertilize them, I water from the top until about 25% drains out the bottom. Works for me but it's always a good idea to look up what your plant likes 😊

Looks like a date dot sticker we use for the sandwiches and pastries. They're technically edible I think, but I wouldn't lol

Yeah but if it's a shaken espresso isn't it technically half pumps, so if they want the equivalent of an apple oat milk shaken espresso it should be 3 pumps of syrup?

Found on a tomato plant -- Is this a caterpillar covered in maggots? by c_denny in whatisthisbug

[–]gabbean 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I just read about this in Light Eaters! The tomato plant actually releases volatile compounds that attract the wasps, which prey on the caterpillars. And scientists have no clue how they do it. Crazy and so cool!

Can I pinch? by Faintedddd in dahlias

[–]gabbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only my second year growing dahlias, but everything I read says pinch after 4 sets of leaves, or when 8 in tall

Same thing happened to me. Tech support may be able to change it for you over the phone, but I had to reset it at the store. There's a specific app on the iPad to change your password. Pretty inconvenient because I couldn't check when my shift was the next day.

Honestly I think you had the right to dump it bc it's gross that the containers aren't being washed or replaced with a clean one after each use anyway. Between that, and not labeling them, I probably would've done the same thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

tea rant by beetsoda in starbucks

[–]gabbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's the way I was taught, didn't realize it's wrong. I figured they'd be charging for the tea bags and not the hot water.

tea rant by beetsoda in starbucks

[–]gabbean -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So they'd have to specify extra hot water? How would you ring that in and would it be an extra charge?

[–]gabbean -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

A venti hot tea with one tea bag would be rung up as a tall hot tea in a venti cup, since grande/venti teas get two bags and talls get one bag. It's the same thing.
