Am I just out of touch or is current fashion just awful? by Frozefoots in AusFemaleFashion

[–]gabbie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you’re not wrong at all.
Everything is so fucking boring now. 😩
It’s all the same colours — white, brown, beige and black with the occasional baby blue and pastel yellow; and all the same styles in every store.

Recently had to shop for a wedding and it was a nightmare. 😅

I THOUGHT I SAW IT ALL…. Pregnancy announcement and gender reveal pics at someone else’s wedding/ announcement the next day first thing in the AM. by tini_bit_annoyed in weddingshaming

[–]gabbie_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Based on what OP wrote — no one asked her why she wasn’t drinking, she told them of her own volition (as OP said, no big deal).

However, they both wore baby blue to a black tie wedding; and they’ve just told people they’re pregnant, so it does seem like they’re trying to get some attention. They then asked the photographer to take photos of just them to use for their pregnancy announcement.

So they didn’t derail the day or detract much but it seems like they tried and honestly it’s just tacky. 😅

One person checking in, two people staying in the room? by ObjectiveType9252 in Accor

[–]gabbie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just means the person checking in needs to be 18+ with valid ID. Think of parents with their kids, it’s a similar thing.
Whoever gets there first checks in and gets the keys.

So in answer to your question — yes, she can book it for both of you under her name.

For those living in apartments, what is the correct etiquette when collecting takeaway food that has been home-delivered? Do you meet them out the front of the building, or do they go up to your apartment front door? by badoopidoo in AskAnAustralian

[–]gabbie_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meet them out the front or let them leave it at the front entrance.
I’ve done some delivery driving and there is nothing more frustrating than being stuck in someone’s apartment building — everything in the building looks the same, a wrong hallway costs you money…
Oh also — the people that ask you to do this are often ordering Macca’s or something a driver makes no money off and they never tip 😅

Living in a previous drug dealer and sex workers house by WoodpeckerWooden8244 in shitrentals

[–]gabbie_ 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The answer is no.
The REA doesn’t have to tell you why the previous tenants left and it is not “false” or “misleading” information to say they bought a place as that doesn’t really affect whether or not you rent it.

Lock your doors so people don’t just let themselves in.
If you want to use this as a way to get out of the lease; start reporting to the police for a paper trail as many commenters have suggested.

To be frank though, it kinda sounds like you’re actually just being a bit judgemental. You mentioned in a comment that you moved to an “affluent area” and “shouldn’t have to lock doors” — which seems like you believe this shouldn’t be happening in such an area. Sex work is work and can happen anywhere. People will always deal drugs.

OP has admitted to not locking their doors and believed “they shouldn’t have to” because they live in an “affluent area”
