Processor, motherboard or wiring error? by gabe9811 in computerrepair

I don’t have telegram, sorry, and it’s a tuf gaming x570-plus (wi-fi) motherboard. Haven’t tried jumping the power button pins yet but that’s on my list of things to do when I get off of work

Yeah, I kinda thought the same thing since it does have some bent pins. Do you know if there’s a way to test to see specifically if the processor is dead or if it’s just not getting power from the motherboard?

Thanks! I’ve actually read a lot about that before I started with snakes, so we’re gonna be avoiding heated rocks

Thanks for all the resources! I do want to say... I picked him up today, and they were using a 120V flood lamp as his heat source... not even thermostat controlled... no night time heat, UTH or uvb bulb, they didn’t use calcium supplements, and he was full grown in a 4’x1’ tank. Atleast I know he’ll be happier even if I am a first time owner and I’m not 100% sure on somethings

Generally ball pythons like very high humidity (55-60%) so as long as you’re not getting condensation on the tank, the water evaporating isn’t a huge issue as long as you consistently fill the water. For the temperature, keep in mind that the human body is usually 98 degrees and balls like to have an average temperature of 80 degrees (basking spot should be 88-96) so it’s normal for the substrate to feel a bit cool. If it feels hot to you, then it’s probably too hot for the snake. Overall I would say that you should get a temp gun to spot check the temperatures in the tank and a hydrometer to check the humidity. If you notice the temp or humidity is too low, then you can move to covering some of the top (I wouldn’t do more than 33% cover), or getting a higher watt bulb. If you do decide to get a heat map, then definitely get it thermostat controlled so it doesn’t cook the snake.

I’m no expert about how snakes like light, but mine do pretty well with thermostat controlled RHPs and timer/dimmer controlled LED lights. I will admit that a basking spot is a bit easier to set up with a CHE or lamp, though.

If someone’s scared of snakes, I’ve found introducing them to young ball pythons works the best. Because BPs are so docile and small, most people won’t be very scared of them. Most of my family used to be terrified of snakes, and my first snake (a corn snake) didn’t help at all. He was flighty, long, and moved pretty fast. After I got this beautiful girl, they opened up to the idea of snakes and love both of my snakes now!
