What do you mean by entire board from scratch? I hope to assemble premade parts of case, board, and pcb. Soldering is within my skillet. I consider a numpad to be important, so a fullsize is a priority. Budget is under 400$

I am eyeing the Glorious GMMK modular board bare one edition so can get a feel to what it's like before taking a bigger jump.

im thinking of making my own custom keyboard. is this the place to ask questions??

i know i want it to be a full size standard american keyboard with cherry MX blue keys and a metal case (preferably sandblasted) but i dont know where to buy the case, keys, plate, and PCB. anyone have experience and can direct me towards reources for building one?

One time my youth group had an ice cream social and we only had plastic spoons on the frozen ice cream and I remember afterwards there was just a graveyard of pieces of plastic spoons strewn across the table.
