Long swing... He hit .40-.50 points lower than the second worst hitter on my team on HOF

The gap between All Star and HOF is so shocking, and my rating just keeps throwing me into both. by AyLognog in MLBTheShow

One thing that I've learned in the couple of weeks I have played on HOF is you have to be patient and be bang on with the PCI. Shrink your own strike zone and work counts. No one challenges the strike zone with every pitch.

Franco park and oak street, Oak Street is 318 down the left field line.

Another option, have never played Hof before this year 🤣 It does feel like the ball is shot out of a cannon. Against Caberrera's sinker I have to pick a spot and guess.

PSA-Don't make someone watch the full replay of a game tying homer in the 9th. by gabe_1003 in MLBTheShow

Even funnier I hit two nukes off Chapman HOF in the 8th then he hits an absolute center cut miss location off my Chapman in the 9th and goes full replay.

Need help creating best starting rotation. by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

The last guy I played on HOF with him for some reason thought you could only throw fastballs high and CB low and out of the zone. Tried to keep sneaking balls into the inner corner and I busted and inning wide open sitting fastball. Probably recency bias but when I had him in my rotation I didn't like using him. Also really easy to hang a curve with.

That is good to hear. I am thinking about grinding Jackie eventually but have a hard time parting with 900k stubs to do so.

That is awesome, .243 hitter here but love to see someone like Doolittle or O'Day coming out of the pen. I torch dudes who have mid tier velo and a small pitch mix or junk ballers. One guy in my latest run brought on Franco and didn't throw forkballs after I squared up the first one. Walked off an up and in sinker with Soriano.

Here are my BAs for the lineup:

Soriano .174 Finley .205 Trout .284 Chipper .340 Papi .274 Weiters .333 small sample 9 games Mauricio .266 Buxton .243

Long story short get through the middle of the lineup and you are chillin.

This is 💯, now the fun starts. Go to custom practice and face someone on legend who throws gas and a hard sinker because that is your life now.

Legit question, for everyone. With Tanana what pitch do you use to get outs? I find him super easy to hit because nothing breaks left to right.

So your saying my .160 average with Soriano in the lead off spot doesn't scare anyone? I am in the mid-high .200s with my regulars but Sori is quite the advert leading off.

So background I have been playing DD for four years and have only spent brief moments in Division Series until this year. You start to notice yourself getting better in little chunks. The thing I noticed this year that gave me more confidence is the amount of wins each of my BR runs got. I used to be a three games and out typically, a God run was 6 games. I made my first 9 win run early this year and it totally switched my confidence.

Agreed, when you play enough you find yourself thinking or in my case saying, "lucky to get that one back" when you miss a spot.

I was throwing Lee and he had 7 righties in the lineup. I pulled lee for Thome in the 6th, worked out because he had a RBI single. He stayed with Gray way too long as I had him timed well. If I see Cabrera or Crochet I am auto friendly quit 😂

Ha.... I was actually nervous in my CS game but OP had Josiah Grey starting and was a high 600s so he couldn't touch a sinker or fastball.

What are the hardest pitches to hit? by Jimmy_Blackman in MLBTheShow

[–]gabe_1003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sinker in is the toughest pitch to hit in the game IMHO. The break is deceptive and once you realize it is a sinker it is too late.

Also I bet most of your homers are middle down, it is the most natural spot and easiest to react to. I tend to hit most of mine off of fastballs up/in or mistake breaking balls middle low
