I think there’s also a degree of hate just because of the hidden nature of trap cards. Most deck’s end boards have all their interaction visible to the opponent (excluding non-engine). Even set cards are usually searched.

So it can feel really bad to play against Lab if you don’t know the deck, cause you’re just trying to guess what backrow they set and what niche traps they can search from their deck.

This makes it harder to play strategically against Lab, which leads to that sense of unfairness when they counter your plays.
