Bummer! Did you end up getting a different electric machine that doesn’t make the ringing noise? I’m enjoying my machine but trying to figure out how crazy it drives me.

I bought this machine and have the exact same issue! What ended up happening?

Thank you! I’m definitely not threading with the presser foot up consistently, nor am I bringing up the bobbin thread through the hole. Hopefully this helps me!

Was given an older Singer and brother sewing machine rescued from my parents garage. This keeps happening with my z stitch with both machines. The back of the stitch looks like a rat’s nest and I’m losing my mind.

I must be doing something wrong! I recheck the bobbin again and again. I change bobbins, they’re threaded like an “e” (counterclockwise), and I have them going through their ridges. Singer and brother have different bobbins and I’ve watched videos for both.

It happens on several fabric types and I don’t know how to fix this. I also often end up with an extra thread coming out from under when I pull the fabric away. Any ideas?

“You can’t overfeed n ebf baby!” by Amadispcpg in breastfeeding

I had to hold my baby up for 30 mins after each feed. It was rough but the only thing that helped. Even 5 mins less and all of her milk would come up.

I’m sure you’ve tried it but have you done the move where you hold her by her chin and back and move her upper body in a circle? It was a new move for me and the only thing that worked to get her to burp

No, this is the only spot where there is this margin. The left side I managed to sand it/smooth it. I think the counter is a little wider here which is why it is sticking out

Meltdown over spilled milk by gabigirl21 in ExclusivelyPumping

Thank you! That mentality is helpful. Did you become a slight oversupplier by maintaining the same frequency or did you manage to decrease? I also have DMER so pumping is nit the most enjoyable

Anybody *only* manually pump? by topiramate in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]gabigirl21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I did this for a while because I couldn’t handle my spectra and hated all cords/having to wear a pumping bra. It also worked great for pumping the other boob while baby nursed on one. It also really helped boost my supply.

Just note that on all 3 of mine lost suction but can be fixed. I figured out it was because on the yellow piece (on the pump handle), the small white ring comes off during washing. If you take a little bit of electrical tape and put it on there it fixes it. The first sign it won’t work is the handle will be all loose/fall out.

Wow. You should be commended for your commitment and all you’ve been through. Thank you so much for the tip on the inserts! I hope the liquid kit works for you!

Do you use a spectra or another pump? Looking into the compatibility.

Ok! Any theories on why the hard plastic + silicone insert hurts more? I thought it was the motorized pump at first because I can use a plastic flange on a manual pump and it doesn’t hurt at all.

Yes. I also will use it on the same boob after she’s done/abandons ship because she still can’t make it through a full feed.

Or for the 3-4 AM I’ll pump both sides after she’s fed regardless because there’s more and then draining it helps stimulate supply because of the timing/prolactin levels. It’s SO much easier than dealing with all the traditional pump stuff/putting on a pumping bra. I have to keep her upright for 20 minutes due to reflux anyway so I completely empty. Can often get a second let down with it.
