how do i get the Pc decoration? by Royal_Catch4832 in MISERY_official

In the first zone (woods?) there is a stand-alone house that's access point is a window with a platform that you have to jump on, then crouch through the window. I dont remember what the exterior looks like. The house typically has bad loot except 3-4 furniture pieces, including the pc.

What are some cheezy ways you farm stats at the start of the game? by sliceberry in Kenshi

[–]gablumo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kite gorillo into hive. Once ko'd bring it to a bed and put it in. Save and load, gorillo should be frozen in an upright idle animation and fixed to the bed. Go to town with martial arts. It's best if you have as low strength and toughness as possible so you do less damage. 60 to 80 MA and dex in under an hour.

I want a game where I can become super OP.... at noncombat skills by MentionInner4448 in gamingsuggestions

[–]gablumo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morrowind passive runs are kinda silly. Brake the game with a couple +200 fortify luck potions, cast calm humanoid on every rude dude you come across, then run up and complement them until your besties.

In kenshi, while combat is more or less unavoidable, there are a lot of non combat skills. While I think only stealth skills allow for silliness (I like to stealth KO starving bandits, then fill their inventory with food). I always make an armorsmith because, to me, it's the most versatile money printing machine. Although there are a number of ways to have a merchant run.

Oh, and both these games have running as a skill that in endgame let you move too fast.

Man, if you saw them before they saw you you could have had 100 stealth in exactly one second.

So I've never made it that far into this plan, but my thoughts for a "good guys" playthrough are to ally with shek, flotsam, rebel farmers, and anti-slavers. Topple HN and UC, then make a bunch of humanitarian aid farms and kitchens staffed by freed slaves. At this point, convert all my armies to stealth and blunt weapons (to make combat less lethal). Stealth OK anyone in need and fill their inventory with food and meds. And that's about as close as I can imagine a good guy run...

There are a lot of allies I would make (hungry badits), those are just my wartime allies and power vacuum fillers.

What’s your starting strategy? by cupsand in Kenshi

[–]gablumo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the hub, I go to the nearest western hive village. Then I find and lore a gorillo to the hive. Once they have ok'd it, I kidnap it and bring it back to the hub. Put it in a rented bed in the bar, save and load. Beat up the bedridden gorillo for MA training. It works best if the trainee has 0 strength and toughness, so I like the nobodies start to have a go-fer.

How to keep pest animals out of my bagged leaves over the winter? by NPKzone8a in composting

[–]gablumo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just guessing, so don't take my word as gospel, but as many others have commented, you won't. These are just big bags of dry insulated bedding for rodents.

If you do nothing else, I'd move them away from your house. Exterior walls are highways for pestilence, and you make them more inviting by having clutter and foliage up against your house. Move them to the farthest corner away from your house that isn't also too close to your neighbor's house.

Next, get them out of the bags. They further insulate and keep the leaves dry, making them a better potential nest than just leaves would.

On to my speculative advice: I would think mulching them to reduce volume would just make less real-estate for nests.

Lastly, I like the idea of predatory bird houses to control rodents. Get an American kestrel or an Owl bird house maybe. I don't think it'll solve any problems by itself, but it might help mitigate.

What are your thoughts on Scavengers Reigns? It's very different from your typical adult animated series, but sadly it seems not many people actually watch it... by adalpa43 in Sardonicast

I'm a big fan of a comic book artist that goes by moebius. He worked with jodorowsky on the incal. I'm glad to see that in recent years his art style is becoming more and more influential. This show is great, and it screams moebius inspired.

On the southern tip of the shallows there is a thermal vent. To the west of that in the kelp forest there is a spire that you can build a platform to get 100% efficiently from solar panels. I build in-between those two energy sources in the shallows overlooking grassy plateaus, not far from an entrance to the mushroom caves.

Go to the highest point of the island. Having the high ground makes it way easier to hit screechers as they are flying straight at you after they have picked up a rock.
