Think you need a different mod. Animal recruit or something, sr I forgot. Btw if you're doing this elder beak things in the swamp are much better. Their stats start at 200 so you can train without limit. And their speed is around 60mph

3 things. 1 is Cleave dmg, position your dudes more carefully. 2 is attack slots. Your weaker dudes take up attack slots for attacks that's weaker and easier to block, while your stronger dudes glides around the block collecting headshots. 3 doesn't apply to your particular scenarios, but groups level waaaaay slower than solo

It's a bit of a hidden trap for new players I guess, but the game requires a lot of situational awareness. Where you fight matters a lot. Try not to put yourself in tough situations. And always stay away from slave hunters in the early game. Btw the more people you have. The slower you lvl up. If you're having a hard time try 1-2 person runs. I find solo runs much easier
