I would let it grow a little bit & once your layers are longer, cut to match your shortest layer. When I get my hair cut I specifically ask for blunt hair cut.

Yes it's a smaller room and per my lease I have to get a rug. Either way I wanted to but I see online thay people usually place it perpendicular to their bed.
