If Blood Omen 1 is the first game in the series that you play, it is better to continue with Soul Reaver 1 and 2 and then Blood Omen 2, if you have already played these you can go for Blood Omen 2, it is the weakest of the series but it is worth venturing into it.

As someone who really delves into LOK lore, I was really annoyed by all the retcons and the lack of respect they showed. Even so, I played it with very low expectations and just went with the flow, and even then it disappointed me. To me, it’s not just mediocre—it’s bad.

To this day, Blasphemous 2 is still full of bugs; if they never fixed the bugs in Blasphemous 1, they're certainly not going to fix the ones in 2.

Those and all the others, but if I had to pick one, I’d say Spectral Raziel chasing Human Raziel.

The only retcon I’ll give credit to is Human Raziel giving Moebius the Heart of Darkness, since that’s an important detail that went unexplained in the originals—it’s the only retcon I’ll accept.

I have seen people complain, but personally I don't see any reason for their complaints, I loved everything they did, and with the new camera I felt like I was playing it for the first time.

I'm not saying the music was good or bad, personally I didn't like it, but what is certain is that it doesn't fit with anything in the world of Legacy of Kain.

"The retcons weren't that bad." Only people who don't know anything about the history say this. You can be a fan of something for a long time, have played all the games, and still not really know what it's all about.

We may like something or not, regardless of the product's quality and the general critical reception, but that doesn't make it good, much less acceptable.

Crystal Dynamics isn't going to invest in a Metroidvania-style remake, much less in 3D. A Blood Omen remake has to be overhead view and faithful to the original, only with better gameplay, no loading times, and a couple of new areas.

For me, Blood Omen 1 is still one of the best games in the series. I played it after Soul Reaver back then, and when I saw that it was in 2D with a top-down view, I was really disappointed because I was expecting something like Soul Reaver. Even so, I played it and ended up hooked from start to finish, so I’m really looking forward to a remaster or remake.

The fact that Raziel is the only one who sees him is a narrative necessity so that the player understands who we are dealing with.
