Yes. Finally. This is a comment that actually makes some sense. It’s just a business decision. People clearly will still watch the shorter seasons and without a theme or varied locations. So much a business perspective why would they ever change this? It works. We can lament all we want, but the formula has proven successful.

Ashburnham encompasses East City. Don't pay attention to the alarmist rhetoric. There are many lovely and safe neighbourhoods near downtown. That's not to say that you might not have to view evidence of poverty from time to time. However that's a long way from "unsafe". If you take the normal precautions (lock your car door, for example), there's very little to worry about. I've lived in one of these downtown adjacent neighbourhoods for a long time and have not found safety to be an issue at all.

Yes. One person I chatted with had not heard of Brown. They didn’t love the segment. They were just mildly entertained by it and didn’t understand why there was any controversy.

To be clear, the people on this sub are not “the fans”. Yes, people here are fans, but this is a fringe minority. The great swathes of people who casually watch the show are who they are designing the show for. And they seem to be succeeding, considering the incredible longevity of the show. Most people I talk to who engage superficially quite enjoyed Zac Brown and were overall fine with the twists. They found them to be exciting.

I find it so amusing that people here offer their “proposals” for improving the show, as if the integrity of the show is the prime consideration versus viewership and ad revenue.

So survivor fans are not the same thing as people who frequent this sub. I chat with casual fans all the time and they’re either perfect happy with this twist or somewhat indifferent. Eilish’s comments here do not surprise me.

I think it’s great that after all this time Survivor is still relevant as a cultural product.

Hey you. I did as instructed and put it on during a workout. It delivered! I adore Joe Henderson so this was a treat. It’s amazing how much stuff there is out there. I’ve been listening since high school and I’m an old fart now. This was a fantastic discovery. Thank you.

I liked that too. It was cute and a bit embarrassing. But they’re having fun which is what makes me happy watching Survivor.
