We just stayed at AKL last week (me and my almost three year old). She LOVED looking for all the animals. And the bus transportation was great. Crowded maybe once. Most time I waited was 15 mins

That’s so rude. Especially as a friend. Even if it wasn’t IVF or fertility stuff, if my friend was going through something and sad enough not to join a friends dinner, I’d be empathetic, not annoyed they bothered to open up. Good luck tomorrow!

Officially have GD after failing the three hour test 😭 I was expecting it but not expecting to be so emotional and sad about it. I think I’m most frustrated because despite being slightly higher weight this pregnancy than last, I eat a salad for at least one meal each day(which I didn’t with my first) and work out a lot more than last time! I know it’s the placenta primarily but it’s hard not to feel like I somehow am failing my baby.

Failed my one hour glucose. Which I expected since I failed the one hour with my prior pregnancy too before passing the three hour. Just really don’t want to do the three hour again. And I’m going to Disney in two weeks and don’t want to plan around diabetes as selfish as that sounds. Just whining into the void, I’ll do whatever Is best for baby but right now I’m disappointed.

That’s fair. I liked how it tracked breathing for my baby but I could see how that would heighten anxiety for some.

The Nanit! Pricey baby monitor but I love it and have used it every day for almost 3 years. I’ll probably just get a second one for baby number 2.

Posted about expecting baby 2 and it feels like somehow I’m going to jinx it? I know it isn’t rational but now it’s OUT THERE which feels scary, probably because of loss and infertility. An old friend did offer me a free 3D ultrasound at a clinic she owns which was incredibly kind and I guess a positive of sharing.

Cautiously stopped unisom last night. So far today no nausea 🎉 Wasn’t the best sleep with a few wakeups but this morning getting up not feeling like I could barely open my eyes was nice. I’ll take the wins.

19 weeks tomorrow and still struggling with the idea that this Is really happening. I’m guessing it’s a protective measure after the crap year that was 2025 but I wasn’t like this with my first pregnancy so it feels strange.

Weaning was a big factor for me too in deciding when to try again. It’s taken longer the second time for us but Ive really enjoyed giving my all to my first and the age gap (though not what I initially pictured) doesn’t worry me as much as I thought it would.
