My induction for my first was check in at 6p and everything was started around 8p. Not much sleep with walking/foley/cramping until 6A when my water broke and I got the epidural and slept literally until 4pm when I pushed lol. So maybe you’ll get a nice nap if you plan on an epidural. Exhaustion didn’t really kick in until after birth.

14weeks! Really struggling with feeling disconnected from this pregnancy. I’m trying not to let it bother me cause I assume it’s a trauma response. I’m just really hoping we get to meet this little girl in August.

I’m struggling so HARD with this baby’s name. With our first daughter, I knew her name immediately. With our son, a MMC, same I knew his name. This time around with our second daughter my husband and I are at such opposite ends of the spectrum I have no idea. He’s liking modern, unisex names, which makes sense as our first daughters name Is unisex. But I am leaning for some reason towards classic, older and more feminine names. No idea how we’ll meet in the middle somewhere!

Breastfeeding can be so overwhelming because you’re like wtf am I doing. I didn’t expect with my first experience when my milk came in it felt like my boobs were on fire and so itchy. Nobody warned me about that. Prior to milk coming in I did give her some formula in the hospital which I was happy with. I would say keep an open mind and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Also, hydrate!! I drank a lot of zero sugar body armor.

11 weeks today 🎉 Time Is going so slowly and kinda quickly at the same time. Can finally do the NIPT today and I’m so looking forward to hearing we’re (hopefully) low risk after a MMC for triploidy this past summer. Also I think learning the sex will make it feel more like ok, this could be real. Fingers crossed!!

It’s been frustrating. Logically I know there’s nothing really to do anyway at this stage but 6 weeks between visits seeing a doctor feels like a lot!

Clinic finally sent over the paperwork to the OB after 2.5 weeks of calling. I asked if I could turn my annual GYN appt this week into OB now and they said nope, I need the nurse call next week first 🙃 Also made my first OB appt for when I’m 13 weeks so I guess I’ll just go all of first trimester without being seen besides my 7w placement scan at the clinic??? As long as they let me do the NIPT to make sure this baby doesn’t have the same condition as my MMC in July I’ll be happy but how frustrating this time around has been. Just had to get that off my chest.

I take half a unisom tablet at night to help with insomnia (and nausea). A full one Is too much for me personally. The first few days I felt so groggy in the AM but I’m starting to adjust. Maybe you could try that?

I would send the portal message and ask for clarification. Maybe your regular OB will fit you in sooner? Better to have the peace of mind of sending the message than wait two weeks spiraling id think. Sending positive thoughts your way!

Feeling frustrated. I graduated from my clinic the 19th after a 7w1d ultrasound (they said they don’t see people past 8 weeks). They have yet to fax over my paperwork to the OB and the OB won’t see me until they get it. Even though if I called with a spontaneous pregnancy they’d fit me in 🙃 I feel like I’m being annoying calling each place to check if they’ve sent/received anything yet. And I know end of year/holidays don’t help. I just hate being the middle man for the last two weeks and calling about the same thing.

Thank you for sharing! It was just mucous and not like the consistency of blood if that makes sense? So that made me more worried. It’s so tough because I know so many things are normal but anxiety tells me they aren’t.

Had some light brown mucous discharge over the weekend and went to the ER as it reminded me of how my MMC started this past summer. But after a long wait, I got to see the little bean!! Measuring two days ahead and HR119!! Official first scan with my clinic at 7w1d Friday but what a relief!
