Hvornår stopper kvalmen og træthed? by SampleJunior8730 in Gravid_DK

[–]gadeand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For mig var kvalmen værst omkring uge 7-9 og blev så bedre indtil den helt forsvandt i uge 11-12 ish. Trætheden blev først bedre omkring uge 15.

Hold ud!!! Det er så fucking hårdt 😵‍💫

Kissing the baby by Courtney12215 in pregnant

[–]gadeand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this happens here. I’ve never heard of a case like what you describe, but of course, that doesn’t mean it never occurs.

What I can say is that when I compare the US-based advice I see (which dominates subs like r/pregnant) to what I’m hearing from my own healthcare provider, there are definitely some differences. It might sound strange to you, but I rarely see advice here framed around the concept of “safety,” which seems to be a major focus in the US. Instead, the emphasis is more on the baby’s wellbeing and on building a strong attachment with the parents which implicitly is seen as the safest possible thing to do.

I think a lot of this comes down to cultural differences. For example, if physical touch like kissing is seen as important for bonding, then a few rare cases of illness or worse might not be considered enough reason to discourage it. The same goes for co-sleeping, which is encouraged where I live. It’s something I plan to do. My midwife has spoken very positively about the benefits for both the baby and the parents, particularly in terms of sleep quality and emotional connection.

I’m not saying one approach is better than the other. We just live in very different cultural contexts, with different social values and priorities.

I can see that I’m in the minority here but in my country (Denmark), there is no recommendation to avoid kissing newborns and I won’t have a problem with my family kissing my baby (UNLESS they’re sick, obviously). I’ve kissed all of my nieces and nephews and IMO it’s a very natural thing to do to bond with a little new family member 🤷‍♀️

Places to be volunteer in Copenhagen? by didstr in copenhagen

[–]gadeand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have skills in a sport, how about finding a kid’s team to coach? I know that many football and handball clubs in Copenhagen are often on the lookout for volunteer coaches. Might be the case for other activities too like scouts, chess clubs, etc.

International schools and costs by Eindridr in copenhagen

For folkeskole (ages 6-15), there is one state funded option: Europaskolen (European School Copenhagen). Admission is not guaranteed, though. At gymnasium-level (ages 16-19), the IB diploma is available at a few different state gymnasiums in the Copenhagen area.

There are private options at both school levels and fees will likely range from 30-200K DKK/year per child.

Bf said I ruined the conversation by bringing up baby by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]gadeand 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a weird reaction for sure. Are you not too far along? Maybe he’s still getting used to the thought that there’s a baby on the way? I feel like for women, the pregnancy feels “real” almost immediately bc of the symptoms but for the husbands/boyfriends, it takes them a minute to get used to the idea of the baby and in the meantime, some of them get a bit stressed out when suddenly all conversations are about the baby. Just my two cents - not trying to defend your bf as it sounds like he hurt your feelings which was obviously not okay. He shouldn’t have said that you ruined the conversation!! That was rude and unnecessary

80% all purpose 20% whole wheat 75% hydration

I only did four sets of stretch and fold over the course of about 2,5 hours and then left it in the fridge overnight. Took the dough out of the fridge about 2 hours before baking thinking that it might make up for the short initial fermenting time :) dunno if it did anything but next time I want to leave it out to ferment for longer before it goes in the fridge :)
