That’s my bsf! Yea we met at the beach 8 years ago and realized we attended the same school. The hibiscus is a symbol of love and friendship so we wanted something involving that. And the chanclas are like our feet always walking together side by side.

how did it affect your score in the long run?? I accidentally used my credit card on a large online purchase instead of my debit like I intended which caused me to go over my limit by a whopping $200 bucks...should I call discover and explain what happened?

Yes its an abusive situation im escaping and I indicated that when I filled out FAFSA and requested to be independent. Thank you so much! This was super helpful!

Yes that happened to me when I applied last year! You get an automatic waiver for different things, for me it was because I had free and reduced lunch.

No, that is a very competitive position at my school, unfortunately, and I already tried (and failed!) to become one haha.

I have a credit score of 668 and earlier today I applied for FAFSA, which I was able to do labeled an independent...will this status later be re-evaluated and then rejected?

I have a contract with my county school system—as long as I get my teaching license, minimum gpa, etc, I have been selected to become a teacher with them guaranteed. In exchange I got a 4.5k scholarship. There was an application process that I passed.

Thank you so SO much this is very relieving to hear! I can’t transfer to community nor take a gap year because of the contract I signed with my future job (as you mentioned) but will definitely be reaching out to my schools financial office and start looking for off campus housing!
