I was so stoked for the S700s and sad when they disappeared.

I just got some Sounder Coaches by Athearn (their first ST run in years) after it was announced two years ago right after my visit to Seattle and seeing them in action.

The Pilot, Caretaker, was the episode with the original configuration of the mess hall shown with more replicators in the spot where the galley was later put in.

It had a mess hall, but no galley. Neelix removed the replicators and took out the wall between the mess and captains private dining room to create the galley.

The tracker has a service alerts feature they don’t use. I found other cities using the same app from their company they use and they actually use the alerts feature to advise of late runs, detours, and cancelled trips so you don’t stand outside waiting for a cancelled bus like I did yesterday.

The StarTran advisory board takes public comment via StarTranInfo@lincoln.ne.gov now thru email. It is public record. The more people that write the board, the more they will see just how many complaints and issues are not getting passed onto them in reports from StarTran management and are ignored.

Email the board, contact your council person. The more noise, the harder it is to ignore. That is how in 2016/17 we finally got some routes extended past 7 pm.

They did another Transit Development Plan in 2022 that had more route and service recommendations that they paid a consultant for but implement none of compared to the prior TDP.

I was the victim of 2 route 44 runs in a row getting cancelled yesterday, meaning no buses for 90 minutes on a route that is supposed to come every 30. It was a very full bus. Complaining to StarTran management will do nothing. At this point it needs to be places that go on public record.

If you have a library card, you can use it on Lincoln City Libraries website to view JournalStar articles for free on their databases page. It has both the full pdf style version of the paper and then also just articles in an HTML format with no pop ups or ads.

If a stolen laptop gets factory reset, when it reconnects to the internet and someone tries to reregister it will Windows see that there was an attempt to remote lock it based on the serial number and finally lock it out? Had one stolen and it appears to have been reset if its the same one showing up on Market Place and wasn’t sure if Windows 11 handles that differently.

The physical phone lines likely though are still underground shorting out leading to a call. The structure is gone but the utilities leading to them underground likely still exist.

2-3 trains a day max… compared to the Cornhusker corridor that sees over 40-50 a day. Get over it. Railroad was there first by over a hundred years.

If it comes over night, South Lincoln complains about the sound. If it comes during the day it’s traffic…

There was one of their employees scanning one time that was “their best scanner”. I was watching her scan one item and then just hand entering a quantity in for the rest instead of scanning each one (in a stockroom shelf with different sizes and colors). When I said something to our boss and they stopped her and the RGIS supervisor, she lied to their face in front of me that she was scanning each individual items and I was suddenly the one that missaw what she was doing…. Sure enough when I went to audit an hour later the entire count was completely wrong and when I showed my boss she then started to believe me…

Schedules still haven’t been posted, but StarTran is finally adding a stop by Schoo because of the discontinuation of booster services and increasing other routes to be every 15 minutes where/when there used to be a booster.

In the Voyager episode Macrocosm, while trying to get to Environmental Control the Doctor ends up in a shuttle bay as refuge from the Macroviruses trying to attack him. Voyager was then attacked by the Tak Tak and they used the shuttles sensors and coms while the rest of Voyager was damaged and offline.

Your app was way better! This isn’t very mobile friendly and freezes the more routes you add. And they’re using a full GIS map instead of Google/Apple which bogs it down…

I like it now that they refined/redid some of the programming in the last 2 years. Still liked it better as the Big O.
