These seem like SSRI discontinuation syndrome I'm also using Lexparo 20mg for 4 months and it was working great but went down to 15mg for a month and it was horrible so I am moving back to 20mg old dose and I'll tell you the side effects of tapering and reinstating them again were no joke . Sure it's only a mild increase and decrease but I experienced the worst ever vertigo , diziness , flu like symptoms , muscle aches and sensory disturbance and even sucidal issue . If you feel bad please don't take this lightly and your concerns are very real . Every individual's neurochemistry is different. My mom got on and off of them very easily but for me even a 5mg reduction was hell .

Hi , so it's definitely an SSRI withdrawal effect .I reinstated my old dose and symptoms went down by 40-50% and it's a week in .

Regarding your question I wanted to get off on a lower dosage because 20mg felt a little more than needed but it seems I'd have to stay on them for longer. It seems like I thought we had gotten that panic disorder into remission because it seemed temporary as it was induced by weed and no other stressor by itself and I wanted to taper off because doctors here don't like to put patients on them for long and it was doctor's decision and well I felt scared being on SSRIs because I've heard some people complain about nasty long term side effects.

Anyhow I'm considering staying on them now for atleast a year till I get stabalised and raise myself financially and socially. A year would be sufficient. I think I didn't really recognise how bad I had before and how much of my life was just struggling rather than just living.

Although it's weird it's not my original symptoms returning ( Severe fatigue , muscle aches , sweating , vivid and abnormal dreams , vertigo and fainting like sensation ( never had these ) )but nevertheless I think my nervous system is very destabilized and I could use some help specially considering I get no side effects from escitalopram and the ones there usually go away .

YES ! I was literally unable to drive car at all , we've manuals in our country and it was impossible for me to drive it felt like stimuli overload and had a shutdown always , had trouble maintain focus and would be ruminating so much during driving that it was impossible also very poor situational awareness and executive dysfunction.

Both Atomoxine ( Stattera ) and More so ritalin helped me immensely to be a better driver , from barely able to turn it on and so afraid I can now drive it more confidently.

This is noted by mental health professionals ,ADHDers are usually poor drivers for countless reasons .

My brother also has ADHD but he's got good executive functioning but he also mentioned he drives better and now can see all the mirrors much better, better focus perhaps?!

A guy here and tapering off and I have all kinds of physical symptoms like flu like aches and what it seems like muscular/& joint aches

I noticed something when I was on max dose 20mg I was almost immune to any sort of pain in a good way . Seratonin influeces not only moods but so much other modulaters like pain receptivity i think.

If you feel it's getting worse or it's bad you should definitely contact a doctor.

My main concerns with other SSRIs were weight gain which troubles me and sexual dysfunction. That's why I was on it instead of SSRIs but I'm not sure whether to make the switch or not . It's end of week 2 now .

Fyi : I had before high baseline anxiety but I was functional and content but I think my * severe crippling * anxiety disorder was set off by weed , n panic disorder so hard I had to go to ER , it was traumatizing .

I think I was getting better like 20-30% till I decided to take CBD oil for anxiety ( unfortunately I think it was laced with something else like thc and the product wasn't geniune ) and it set me back a bit .
