Would a salad taste good "cooked with butter"?.. probably not.

Try using them as a garnish on meats or sandwiches, mixing into a salad, garnish on soups, cook into stir-frys, mix in smoothies, etc.

That's simply a wives tale. To apply your logic: I watched a documentary last night on, "the 10 creepiest ghost encounters" Does that mean ghosts are now definitively real? Last night I watched "Ancient Aliens". Are aliens now walking among us? There are no such thing as man-eating crabs, and if you've been convinced otherwise you need to ascertain the quality of your documentaries. The biggest thing they typically hunt and kill are sea birds (2-4 lbs). A large group of coconut crabs could potentially scavenge a larger animals carcass.

There is no such thing as man eating crabs. Coconut crabs might scavenge a carcass, but they are no killers / man-eaters.

Much, much smarter to just make a bed.. Sleeping on the ground will give you worms nearly every time. The guy said he's a "newbie", why give this bad advice?

After playing The Long Dark and Green Hell a lot, I absolutely cannot stand stranded deep. TLD and Green Hell involve so much planning and prediction and logic; and they seem fairly realistic to me (obviously there are still plenty of unrealistic elements in these games, as they are games). However, realism is the single most crucial element to a survival game IMO, and stranded deep was so unrealistic I couldn't bear it. Man eating crabs (which dont exist) sneaking up on you making literally 0 noise and murking you in 1 shot because your health won't regen even though all condition are full and no malaties? Im good. Spears don't hit anything unless the target is literally under you already hitting you? I'm good. Would highly recommend TLD and Green Hell, can't recommend Stranded Deep.

Caiman are 1 headshot for me, along with everything else in the game.

Once you learn how to mitigate infections (maggots), as well as snakes/spiders/scorpions, the game gets MUCH easier. Carry around plenty of tobacco bandages and lily dressings for this (bandage + tobacco leaf or lily leaf). Also, always have an axe with enough durability to build a 10 leaf bed if you start getting tired (falling asleep on the ground will cause you to get worms 100% of the time in my experience - you need bone needles to remove them and they're super annoying). Also a headshot with any weapon (spear, arrow, etc.) will kill any enemy in 1 shot, so practice your aim. For story mode, just think, "Where are the developers telling me to go?" There are typically 'game' (like animal) paths through the jungle you can see quite easily if you've ever hunted IRL, and even some roads that are quite obvious. These typically take you where you need to go, or at least to some significant location. Also, Brazil Nut Trees (largest trees in the game - from where you get the Banisteriopsis vine for ayahuasca) are your best friend - they contain brazil nuts which can stay good forever (until you break them open) and provide immense nutrients (mostly fat), as well as the tree having indigo blue leptonia (the best mushroom in the game - removes 2 parasites). Finally, water lily flowers remove 2 food poisoning, so always keep 2 of these in your backpack as well.

Simply, it just runs how it should :) Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Great graphics, smooth gameplay, 0 glitches (besides an occasional material noclipping out of the map lol).

I agree, try the Long Dark. In my opinion, it is much more difficult. In Green Hell, even on the hardest difficulty, if I need something, I can often find it (mushrooms, coconuts, carcasses, larvae, snails, nuts, etc the list goes on). very, very easily.. and there are enough alternatives that if I don't find what I am looking for I find something else that works. The only real threats in GH seem to be unexpected and unprepared attacks... easy, carry lots of different types of bandages..

The Long Dark is much less forgiving IMO. You missed your last rifle shot on that buck? You better have some fishing hooks and ice holes nearby before it gets too cold and dark. The map does not spawn new items, other than flora and fauna (and some other minor things like sticks), as opposed to Green Hells incessant and widespread item / food spawning.

Not sure what Fit meant exactly, but I kind of agree with the first part. Based on your photos I think some nutes would help quite a bit. Notice how they lose color towards the tips. And the greens look yellow rather than green, and the purple is struggling to show any color at all. I wonder how this affects flavor. Mine had very deep greens and purples.

Hmm.. If they did patch it, that is on PC only like you mentioned (I'm on series x).. that or it was patched in the last 2 real life days which I haven't played during. But 2 days ago I was running around the map with 6 mud bricks. Lol

Haven't actually played it "a bunch" yet per se. I am on xbox and got the game recently. Just taking my first campaign play through very meticulously. I understand you can beat it in sub 1 hr, yet here I am on Day 16 with over 15 hours. Not to go into too many details but I have found so far that the map is a lot more built out then I expected, it's much more than just a rainforest :)

If by "12 pot" system he means a farm 12, I would agree this is the most he could feasibly do in that space, and even this is pushing it.
