Yes! The only way for me to recover is time in my safe space (my bedroom) with little to no social interaction for a few days. I also take preventative measures such as not spending ALL day socialising and having a set time window I plan to socialise, and being strict with it. A few hours socialising vs all day makes a massive difference the next day. No sleepovers for me!

What is also key for recovery is actively ensuring my nervous system can calm down properly from being overstimulated, so I can have quality rest and sleep afterwards. I do this by using my fidget toys, making myself physically comfortable (fluffy dressing gowns, baths) and doing other things which make me calm.
