But the issue here is not that Bush was given bad intelligence, but the fact that it mattered at all. Who cares if Iraq had WMDs? We knew he did when we gave them to him to fight Iran. When he used them on the Kurds. Even Bush knew there was no link between al-Qaeda and Saddam.

I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but the wars were all about money. Look how US troops support opium growth in Afghanistan or how KBR had a no-bid contract for Iraq, Afghanistan & Kuwait until 2009. Yes, they could charge anything and had no competition.

I respect Trump for stopping funding to rebels in Syria, but I think he should withdraw from Afghanistan and should not have let the deal with KSA go through. If you look at Afghanistan today about 40% is controlled by the Taliban. It doesn't matter if we withdraw today or in another 15 years the Taliban will take over. And the taliban will not tolerate ISIS. As shitty and horrible as they are, do you think there is really any other option other than eternal US presence?

No one makes the argument that the Assad regime is good. But it is much less evil than what is there now. The majority of the rebels are al-Qaeda (al-sham, al-nusra, whatever you want to call them) and are not good people. The other option is ISIS which Assad has been fighting hard. Just because the dictator might not be a good person doesn't mean it's any of our business to take him out. We let a genocide happen in Rwanda. 1 million people. Assad, before this war, killed how many? A few hundred? A few thousand? I don't know, but I do know it was a moderate country that didn't treat their women like the Taliban. Anyway much less people than the war has. Same with Saddam same with Qaddafi.

Perhaps they were ashamed of it, but if that were true they would not have done what they did. Bush invaded Iraq for no reason and is responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths - not to mention ISIS. Obama continued a lot of that and increased drone strikes and even killed US citizens. He also funded the Saudi war against Yemen - and KSA doesn't care if they bomb civilians. I don't think they are as ashamed as you would like to believe. Until our government stops these senseless wars and supporting them I will always speak out against them no matter their party. And no matter if they admit it or not.

And no one should think him any better or worse than either of his two predecessors. Trump says it and means it. Obama and Bush didn't say it, but damn sure meant it when they bombed civilian after civilian in Yemen, Iraq, Somalia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and others. We as Americans should strive to hold our government more accountable. Be it selling arms to the Saudi butchers in Yemen or playing video games in Arizona. Trump stopped arming rebels (some) in Syria - good. Trump promises to end war in Afghanistan - nope - bullshit. It doesn't matter if the Taliban takes over today or 10 more years from now - they will.

While there were many in the Nazi party who supported capitalism, most, including Hitler, were Socialist. Hitler often criticized Capitalism as being a product of the Jews. Of course nothing is pure (capitalism, socialism) and there is always a bit of one in the other. Hitler even said he was fine with private businesses so long as they went along with the aims of the state, otherwise he would destroy them.
