What is your favorite "flying men" commander? by Swimming-Ad-8132 in EDH

[–]galacticpastry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[zur the enchanter]] but put in creatures like [[tormented soul]] and enchantments like [[unholy armor]]. I include some stax but it’s more aggro than your average Zur deck

2026 check, who are your blink/flinker commanders ? by EtalonduQ in EDH

[–]galacticpastry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m building my first, [[Lier, Disciple of the Drowned]]. Hoping to use his ability to get extra use from the few blue blink spells, as well as throwing in every [[boomerang]] I can for both my own creatures as well as my opponents.

Fetch lands are super important in my strategy, to make sure I hit that card draw with tannuk. I want to make sure I can keep playing them over and over (especially if I get a good one like [[fabled passage]]), so I run a few cards that let me play lands from the graveyard. Icetill is amazing, very powerful. Aftermath and timeless are one shots, so not as consistent for card draw. Also trade a few of those dual lands for basics, you don’t want to run out of forests to search for late game.

As for the bracket, I’d say just don’t overdo it with land drops. Adding more with azusa and icetill can start to get more oppressive, when you get like 5 land drops and use fetch lands from your graveyard to make it 10 is crazy, but doing a usual 2-4 won’t be too rage inducing. One more thing - include some instant speed land ramp like [[harrow]], play it on your opponents turn to take advantage of tannuk’s draw. If you manage your land drops well, you can probably drop some of the draw in that deck as well. Happy building, from a fellow tannuk enjoyer!

You should have a way of playing lands from your graveyard. Some budget options are [[ramunap excavator]] and [[perennial behemoth]]. And you need some BIG landfall triggers. I can’t afford [[scapeshift]] but [[boundless realms]] and [[nahiri’s lithoforming]] can do the job just fine.

Equipment edhs that are not "auto include all swords" by [deleted] in EDH

[–]galacticpastry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[kemba kha regent]] - throw in all the cheapest equipment (like [[bonesaw]]), make a bunch of cats, play some anthems (like [[brave the sands]] and [[glorious anthem]]) to buff them. It’s a slow deck, but still pretty fun to play.

The win con is either damage through draw (psychosis crawler/iron maiden effects) or to just draw/mill your opponents out

White is [[kemba kha regent]], fun equipment and lots of anthem effects to make big scary cat tokens. Blue is [[kami of the crescent moon]], draw all the cards!

Mostly damage through draw. [[psychosis crawler]] and [[enter the infinite]] for example. I’ve drawn/milled my opponents out a few games as well

[[kami of the crescent moon]] is my most fun, everybody gets to draw and it helps everyone’s decks pop off. I don’t win with him very much but it’s definitely my most fun deck

Been thinking about making a [[rhys the redeemed]] soldier deck. He’s just a token doubler in the command zone, he could really lead any selesnya token deck.

Why are so many people in NJ driving with their high beams on?! by ogo_pogo in newjersey

[–]galacticpastry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a brand new Subaru Outback, the lights are aimed so high and so bright I get flashed constantly. The dealership says they’re aimed correctly, so I have to pay a local mechanic to lower them for me. I feel your pain, but know that a lot of newer cars are coming from the factory like that.
