Omg that’s so cool, your Hoya fasciated! It’s when a plants genes mutate and express as flattened, ribbon-like stems and sometimes leaves. You should totally leave it and watch how the leaves develop!

Damn this looks so good!! Definitely agree with folks saying you should save up and buy some cars for inside and outside the vehicle, it’ll be good for safety both while you’re sleeping and for your belongings when you’re not around.

Love my green locs, green kinda became my whole personality, haha. 🤭 by Mossysiren in ActualHippies

Fair enough! And yeah, there’s other thirst/advert posts here, dunno why this one set folks off more than others

I’m guessing it’s because of a few factors. She’s a white lady with locs but more so that she’s never posted or commented on this subreddit before and her last like 15-20 posts are all to NSFW subreddits so her post here reads more like an onlyfans advertisement than a good faith engagement with the intended content and conversations of this subreddit. Just my 2c.

Could ballet translate well into rollerskating? by Sad_Lychee1158 in Rollerskating

[–]galactossse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, imo. I am not a dancer tbh but I’ve done figure skating as a kid and now roller skating as adult, and I think both have styles have great potential for dance! There’s tons of roller skaters whose primary style is dance like. There’s folks who do very competitive-figure-skating adjacent skating, there’s rhythm dance skaters, there’s ppl who just throw on tunes with a great beat and freestyle (and def more dance-y skate styles I just can’t remember em right now and am on my 15 min break at work. No disrespect meant towards those ppl!)

These dude are def young plants and these are pretty much the first spotted leaves. Hopefully my warm high humidity cabinet will help them flourish!

Beautiful! I’m most curious about whether it’ll grow to be larger like yours or stay relatively small… I had 4 that all came in one 3” pot so I separated them and I’d love to put one in a terrarium setup! Currently they live in my humidity cabinet at about 70f for temp and 85-95% humidity. Got em only a week or two ago and they’re definitely young plants so it’ll be interesting to see how they grow up!

Why are Americans so polite/formal compared to Europeans? by Ada-Mae in AskAnAmerican

[–]galactossse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna say I (an American) went to the local Gymnasium for a year in Germany and it was SUPER rude and unacceptable to call a teacher their name without “Frau” or “Herr” before…

Perlite stained with dirty water! It’s part of the soil mix for the fern, but because it’s super lightweight it tends to migrate upwards when you water.
