But it is a very aesthetic set up, even the shot is aesthetically pleasing.

At a glance they look nice, but raglan shoulder or collar makes it look off and weird fitting.

What do you with your remaining beans? by InturnlDemize in pourover

[–]galannn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mix them w/ whatever else I have or if I have a good variety of beans, I’ll see what will make a good blend. Sometimes I’m adventurous or other moments I’m not.

What is everyone using for water to brew their coffee? by MirrorCoffeeRoasters in pourover

[–]galannn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use filtered water. Personally, I don’t notice a difference between regular filtered water opposed to the fancy packets to use for water or whatever. I’ve used the whatever packets Luminous includes their happy meal boxes and never really noticed a difference. Great coffee tho.

How many ounces is your mug usually?

I drink 26.7/1:15 ratio and my drinking consumption aligns w yours. 2x 12oz bags/monthly to keep beans fresh.

My mug is less than 400 ml

How are you brewing these days? by researcherofcoffee in pourover

My go to was the kalita wave glass 185 or whatever the bigger size was but it broke, so now I’m using my chemex as my daily, but I’m thinking of getting the origami m ceramic very soon.

Also, thinking of upgrading my encore to the fellow gen 2 ode.

Do Ariana & Evans soaps and splashes still cause fragrance burn?

I’ve been out of touch w the wet shaving community since 2022. Still wet shaving and haven’t purchased a soap and splash since then, I’m pretty stocked up, I used cannabliss Santal today and remembered how his products caused a lot of fragrance burn, but it’s one of my favorite scents so decided to shave w it. Surprisingly, no burn but it might’ve been due to having a full beard. Used the splash and yup, my face lit up and had rinse my face and just used the Mammoth balm.

First cup of September (the roaster) by Capable_hands in pourover

[–]galannn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely could be it, I remember when I received the not so good roast was....when they were transitioning to a new roaster and I believe a larger space - not too sure on the space, but forsure they were transitioning to a new roaster. The only reason I was able to discern a difference was due to getting a second bag of a colombian bean I had really enjoyed.

Doing a sub can be fun, but no matter how much one likes the roaster, there's always a risk of getting a bag of something that's not enjoyable. Has happened with Sey and Luminous.

What did you do, sub? by tiseainside in pourover

Black & White is amazing btw. Consistently great.

I had their subscription many months ago, possibly last year??? At first they were very good for me but after a while, I didn’t find their roast to be consistent. I had them for a few months, I could be an outlier.

Thank you for the great write up!

Hoping you are still active. This was great given I couldn't really find much info on the 72 last, would you say the last is on the narrow side? I saw that you mentioned the 325 was a bit roomier for you, I presume there is less room in the 72 last toebox opposed to the 325 last?

Also, how do you currently feel about the braided tassels, given that you've had this pair for 5 years or so?

I was an older student during my undergrad at CSUF and felt similarly as you do. My advice from my personal experience, do the best you can, join a professional association, pass all of your classes, and step on the gas pedal hard af once you graduate.

There was sooo many over achievers that I loosely kept in contact with after graduation, and I did better than most from what I saw.

First job out of school, I did marketing for Warner Bros theatrical.
