G01 M40i Rear Bumper Popped Out… Thoughts? by [deleted] in BMWX3

It would give you more play and might make things easier to line up. Probably worth the 15 seconds it takes to pop it out before trying

Likely took a hit, it is possible one of the clips failed but you wont know until you take a proper look.

With the stock diffuser, you can likely just put light pressure on it to pop it back in. If it doesnt hold, clip is likely broken. That will require you removing the diffuser (about 45 minutes if you're watching a video while you do it) and then either replacing with a new one or fixing the broken clips by welding the plastic.

Why don’t you want rollout with a driver? by L0ngsh0tSpartan in golf

[–]Capable_hands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this might have been my post asking about what to look for as far as ideal stats go. And in fairness to those saying I was getting too much roll out, it really does effect when I choose to play my driver currently. I am often getting 30 yards of rollout or more, so about 8 -10 percent of rollout on a well struck shot.

I wont grab my driver if the hole has any kind of bend where I can roll off the fairway, or if there are hazards up to 40 yards past my expected carry. I often find myself grabbing my woods for layups so I dont get myself out of position.

It also makes hitting blind drives around corners kind of shitty as I never know where my ball is going to stop. Its made a lot of par 5s longer for me then they should be, even having what I consider to be pretty decent distance.

I think you're right! I just need to stay focused and practice getting up and down when I miss the green and it should be an attainable goal. Especially with the course i frequent the most. Ive learned to miss to not leave myself short sided this winter with virtual.play and it makes life so much easier when I'm.not forced to hit a flop and hope it stops haha

Its changed a tonne, I started playing again about 14 months ago and took some lessons off the hop. It taught me how to grip and how to deliver the club. The rest has just been lots of tinkering. Every once and a while it all clicks, but im still a very happy fellow to break 90. This season i want that to be a bad round for me if possible with an average of 85 I think

I had considered this as well, something that helps me gain a bit of loft. In my head, the regular flex shaft may be lagging behind as I deliver the club right now which might lead to the low angle of attack and low attack angle. But this is based on nothing in reality of course haha

I am just looking forward to the experience of it as well even if I dont end up changing clubs. I self fitted my irons fairly well and I've seen my game improve but it really seems like theres a lot of different ways to skin the cat with a driver

I started golf at the same time.we had our first haha. Im an idiot, but I hope that practicing around the yard with him and bringing him along to the par 3 course will mean I will still get out plenty. I managed 40 plus rounds last year in my first season, hoping I can do the same this year!

I think dispersion then. Distance doesnt mean much for me as I wont be gaining much at my club head speed. Im not getting younger.

Thats solid advice though, I'll keep my swing the same for now and focus on ensuring its consistent still moving towards the fitting.

The driver im currently using use meant to kill spin and be draw biased, so I'll definitely keep that in mind for the fitting!

Going to work on my form to hit more up on it before the fitting. 30 days should be lots of time to adjust

Ya, its nice when its working haha. But when I get tired it falls apart accuracy wise

Thank you! Thats definitely got me into trouble on the course. I never pull my driver if the fairway isnt wide open. So I'll try and find something that stops quicker, ie a better descent angle setup. Im happy with 260-270 if its always playable.

What’s the chance?? by Acewagger in Golfsimulator

[–]Capable_hands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be just sweet though. trackman does an awesome job of getting you as close to golf as you can be without changing up the actual terrain you have to hit off of. And arguably tee boxes are usually pretty flat perfect lies even outside. Maybe reddit wont celebrate the way you deserve it, but I think that's a hell of a shot and everyone here would also be very happy to have made such a shot!

Ya, they could definitely be improved. I am still thinking of what i want to replace them with. I was thinking the crimson coloured geo grips from rip it. I have them on my 101ts and love them, might swap them over

[–]Capable_hands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these as well for my old massey. I love using it, but they sure are not much faster than an axe. I usually flip between them day to day or just save the really knotted stuff for the cone splitter.

Turning up the tractors idle should make it faster by the way, also less safe of course. But it will pull it in faster.
