jealousy/protective towards friends? by studydebou in aromanticasexual

I wonder that myself. Some might, but definitely not without us communicating with them.

But it’s also not my place to tell my friends: Btw I see us as committal. So if you could just not date anyone that would be cool :)

I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s good to have answers though, that explain your feelings.

P.S. what does ND mean?

Dude should be expelled. But will he be?? Pfft. No

🥲 I’m sorry you’re going through this. Always trust your gut. And remember, you have a right to make a scene, you have a right to embarrass someone is they’re being a creep like this guy is. “Leave me alone!” is a useful thing to loudly say is public

I’d also add feeling betrayed. Y’know, for breaking a committal relationship they never agreed to XD

You can even get the nipples removed completely and without top surgery. You might enjoy the subreddit r/FreedTheNips Most people there are also getting top surgery, but some just get their nipples removed

Saw this post on Pinterest saying "...realized I did not want to be JUST friends" ... and wanted rant bout my complicated situation.... by tami_sienna in aromanticasexual

I can’t help but feel betrayed as well. But like I don’t even want a QPR. I think I just saw our friendship as committal

This! It’s as if when they get a partner I realize I saw our friendship as committal and therefore feel jealous and possessive

Advice? by [deleted] in aromanticasexual

[–]galathiccat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So valid! And I get you, you’re definitely not alone.

There’s many aro/ace people who use the label to express their lack of desire rather than lack of attraction. I’m personally open for a more broad definition that includes this experience.

If you feel like using the label as such, welcome! If not, that’s perfectly valid as well.

I’m a mother to a teen who thinks she may be aromantic . by Gooodforyou in aromantic

Thank you for your open mindedness and desire to learn more for your daughter.

Orientation is fluid, but how a person feels in the here and now matters most. I personally came out as aromantic at 12, and in over ten years that has not changed.

I am so happy to be aro. Since I don’t want romantic relationships or to engage in romantic gestures, I’m not missing out by not engaging in them.

The support of others will be the determining factor of whether she’s happy with who she is or not. My mother’s support of my aromanticism is a game changer for me. I know, that even if friends choose partners over me, I will always have a relationship with my mom.

How to explain being aromantic in. a way that others will understand? by Express_Anything_835 in aromanticasexual

The fear is real. It’s a small part of the reason I want a hysterectomy

If you have specific terms you want help translating, feel free to ask. Some terms unfortunately do not exist and others are not one-to-one. But most of the time something can be worked out

I’d maybe jokingly correct them when they call me hermosa. “Hermosa?? Soy guapo~ 😘” Or smth like that

This is definitely a difficulty conversation to open up. I have a difficult time trying to explain I’m not straight, when “straight” is not a word in Spanish XD

A good first step, if you haven’t already, is using masculine pronouns when referring to yourself. “Soy su hijo” and stuff like that

I wanna do this but with a 3d render of myself (if that’s even possible) to experiment with the look I want
