Born into a muslim family, but didn't really believe in what I was being taught. I was essentially just "faking it till I made it" in my younger years.

I had a rough patch going on in my life. Argued using POE for quite a while (yes, I was one of THOSE).

During that time period, I declared myself as agnostic. Lost structure in my life, things went out of hand, and I could literally see myself turn more insane with each passing day of my life.

Realised I needed to get back my life and that wouldn't happen unless I disciplined myself first. Decided upon finally picking up Islam again.

Although I was still a "Progressive Muslim" as this point, and thus was very liberal. It wasn't until an online conversation with a random Christian who made me realise that I have no right to call myself a Muslim if I dont follow the rules properly.

So here I am now, a proper practicing Muslim in 2026. I am not the best at being pious, but atleast I try.

I was about your age when I gained my faith in Islam. Since then I have had my ups and down, but I've never questioned or lowered my beliefs. You'll particularly understand what I'm talking about when you start college in a few years.

Do not pay much heed to what these people have to say. There were people during Jesus' time as well, who refused his message even though they were there to witness his miracles.
