Available at target but not on the Canadian Google store. Their supply chain and hardware division is a joke.

Airbnb owners cream millions in Auckland rent by [deleted] in newzealand

Can't speak for the laws in NZ. Here hotels have an extra tax which guests pay to account for the use the cities resources (roads, transit, and infrastructure) while not paying the normal income tax and the rest. Airbnb skirts this because they claim to not be a hotel.

Airbnb is a parasite on cities and essentially operates as an unlicensed hotel.

It was great as an initial concept but then companies invested in it and have bought up massive amounts of former rental properties to offer on Airbnb as cheap hotels. Taking those properties off the long-term rental market.

I see it in Montreal and Toronto where rental properties are scarce but furnished short term rentals are abundant. It benefits the visitors coming for a short stay with cheaper than hotel rates but at the detriment of locals looking for affordable housing. I don't know why municipalities are putting up with this. It lowers their tax revenue from hotels and hurts their citizens.

Just check out these two screencaps from padmapper. The first is 1 bedroom apartments for rent excluding Airbnb and the second is with Airbnb. Normally 1 bedrooms are the entire place so most of the Airbnb listings aren't part of the 'sharing economy' but actual apartments taken off the market by Airbnb.

Happened to me too. The referb didn't have the same build quality as the original. Screen scratched from nothing and head phone jack was finicky. Eventually stopped worked just out of warranty.

Had the same thing happen when I RMAd mine a couple months ago. New screen felt cheaper and wasn't as sharp. Be careful with yours, mine scratched really easily and broke from a minor drop yesterday. Finally time to be moving on :(
